Location, bar and room were great!
jacuzzi could have been cleanier.
It really nice location , good restaurant at hotel, and have free breakfast.
The queen beds size are smaller than other queen bed.
the location is great and the price was reasonable. The beds were comfortable and the sheets are clean. Everything else needs improvement, but for the great location I don't mind putting up with the minor inconveniences. I like that I can park my car there after check out and walk over to the slopes and come back to get the car at the end of the day.
The rugs, and bathroom can be cleaner and in better condition. The sink faucet was leaking when use and water would spill over the sink onto the carpet. The coffee maker and microwave could be better and there's no freezer in the mini fridge so it doesn't stay cold enough.
Love the front desk people. The restaurant was amazing too and our room is really nice and clean.
La comodidad y localización
Que entrarán a mi habitación y dejarán una cerveza en la cocina
Third stay was excellent, except for 2 plumbing problems in ensuite bathroom. The shower flow was good, but hot/cold control were difficult to regulate and the sink faucet had stron hot water flowe, but only a trickle of cold water. Both issues were reported and hopefully will be fixed by the next time I visit.
The condo was extremely close to the chairlifts access so we could come home for lunch while snowboarding. Well equipped kitchen. Bonus mini grab and go breakfast at the Austria Hof over the road.
The beds weren’t very comfortable. Bunk mattresses were old and could feel springs. Main bed wasn’t as supportive as we like.
The location is so close to canyon lodge, it's literally at the end of main parking lot. A short walk to chair 7.
The bar on a Saturday night is very popular and you could hear voices for a bit but it didn't really bother us.
It was nice little spit to get away from the city. The views from the windows was decent and the hot tub was clean.
The room I booked, with the kitchenette was right behind the office. It got a bit noisy around 6am-7am when the staff was setting up their "grab-n-go" breakfast.
Beautiful room, comfortable bed, clean, quiet, wonderful view.
Just be aware there is no elevator. We were on the third floor, which was fine for us. But if you have trouble with stairs, carrying your luggage up might be difficult. Also, be sure to drink lots of water if you are from a lower elevation. The altitude (8,000 feet) gave me a terrific headache, waking me at 3 in the morning. Water and a pain reliever helps with this.
Not worth the price
Had a room available and food/drink on site. It was easy to get to with my GPS.
I have bad knees - so for me if you had some kind of lift/elevator it'd be perfect. But, I knew you only had stairs and I chose to stay there.
The good: location can't be beat if you're skiing out of Canyon Lodge. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Unit was clean. Grab and go breakfast was fine, but spartan-- muffins, banana bread one day, yogurts and oranges/apples.
Walls were thin, both interior and exterior and ceiling. I'd read about noise issues in other reviews and thought oh they probably just got unlucky with poorly behaving neighbors. No. You will be unlucky, too, because the walls are just that thin. The people in the unit above got in around 12:30am after we went to bed at 10:30pm, and made a lot of noise, dropping suitcases, etc. and chatting until 2:30am. I couldn't sleep for two hours. Then some punks were using the hot tub at 2am and our room was next to it-- loud etc. The next night our neighbors to the side were watching a movie and we could hear the soundtrack through the walls from 130am-3 something am. We knocked and asked them to turn it off around 2:30. they turned it down but we could still hear it. We ended up leaving a night early because the noise issue was so uncomfortable, and we just drove back Sunday instead of on MLK Monday off. We paid around $400 / night including all fees etc., not counting the fact that we only ended up staying 2 instead of 3 nights. Too many 20-something kids staying up too late for a family to get a good night's sleep before skiing.
If you do plan to risk staying here, do NOT come without earplugs.
The second issue we had was parking-- we felt like we couldn't leave our parking spot during the day or we'd risk losing it. We got back from dinner on Friday and there were no spots, but the front desk person helped us identify a street spot that was safe to park in overnight. Still-- if we hadn't gotten that spot we feared we might not be able to park again. Maybe this is less of a problem when it's less crowded. With kids, we didn't want to have to park in the Canyons lot at night and repark.
Unit smelled like bleach on arrival
We're used to staying in places that we pay $400-600/night-- this was not up to par with what we're used to for that rate. Even 2 or 3 star hotels usually have a bit more quality of experience.
