Shh! Don’t tell everyone! It’s a great secret!

Friendliness and helpfulness of staff.
Location to stations. Affordability for a beautiful and fine hotel! This was not our first stay and will not be our last.

Cons:

A highly recommended hotel , mainly for its staff!

Best service from Moin and Ameesh

I stayed here for the new years for four nights. Everyday I went to grab breakfast and I was met with the best service from Moin and Ameesh. They were very attentive, respectful, and extremely professional. They made my stay very pleasurable. Thank you!!

Preis/Leistung für ein 5-Stern-Hotel ist unserer Meinung nach keinesfalls gegeben.
Pros:

Lage ist gut, mit Tube und Railway gleich in der Nähe. Wir hatten 2 Zimmer gebucht, beide waren an sich ruhig (Verkehr, etc.) und sauber. Beeindruckende Eingangshalle. Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Cons:

Bei Ankunft mussten wir pro Zimmer 200 pounds Kaution mittels Kreditkarte garantieren (zumindest wurde bis dato, auch nach Check-out, nichts abgebucht). Bei Check-out wurde uns auch noch ein „Service-fee“ angekündigt - auf Nachfrage, wozu das gut sei, da wir ohnehin schon den gesamten Aufenthalt bezahlt haben, wurde uns mit „Das ist so üblich“ geantwortet. Hatten wir noch in keinem Hotel in London.
Die Einrichtung ist doch schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen, Möbel sind abgenutzt und zerkratzt, teilweise wackelig und disfunktional. Auch Stoffüberzüge der Bettgestelle können das zerschlissene Darunter nicht verbergen. In einem der Zimmer war der Türspion nicht mehr vorhanden, stattdessen einfach nur die leere Hülle - Einblick in das Zimmer von außen somit gegeben.
Bei Ankunft wurde uns gesagt, dass Kaffee, Minibar inkludiert sind. Die Minibar wurde mit jeweils einer Dose Cola, Diät-Cola, Fanta und Sprite gefüllt. Für Kaffee steht eine Nespresso-Maschine mit 4 Kapseln (davon 2x koffeinfrei) bereit. Kaffeekapseln wurden täglich nachgefüllt, jedoch nicht die ohnehin schon spärlich besetzte Minibar.
Die Beleuchtung im gesamten Hotel wird entweder auf Sparflamme betrieben, oder die schummrige Atmosphäre ist beabsichtigt. Hat uns persönlich etwas gestört, da sowohl in den Zimmern als auch in der Eingangshalle z.B. das Lesen sich als schwierig herausstellt.
Um an der Bar bedient zu werden, mussten wir an bestimmten Tischen oder direkt an der Bar sitzen. An den Sitzmöglichkeiten der Eingangshalle (an sich direkt neben der Bar) wird man weder gefragt, noch bedient.
