We only stayed for one night but it was made special by your barkeep Zach. He was the kindest employee we interacted with not only in your establishment, but in all of the businesses we visited in Memphis. He also gave us great tips on good local spots while we enjoyed the views from the beautiful rooftop. I hope we meet him again next time we roll through Tennessee, thank you again Zach!
They tried to take 3 amounts of money out of my bank account , whilst i was visiting Graceland , after i received ' posts ' from my bank ( ?) to inform them of these transactoins ,i phoned my bank's ( from the USA to United Kingdom ) fraud team whilst speaking to them and going to the messages alledgly from them my fraud team said " DO NOT " acknowledge these are SCAMS DELETE IGNORE , not very helpful .I will not be returning
We arrived approx 1130 pm , very tired and there were no hot drinks or food available.
We went to our rooms, hungry ,and found the carpets throughout the hotel were filthy, lots of stains. There were no kettles in the rooms either.
The beds were very clean and the bathrooms were nice and clean. The bath was very slippery in my room so I had to put the bath mat in the actual bath.
The carpets in the rooms were dire, lots of stains and smelt awful.
We requested 2 rooms next to each other too, as we were 2 single women, but we were put 4 floors apart.
The breakfast was not good, cheap cereal, some sort of eggs, and pastries. There was a microwave.
The rest of the hotel was pretty dire too , so it ruined our stay.
We went out to breakfast, there are plenty of decent cafes nearby.
The area was good , close to all the main places.
All in all the whole hotel needs updating, better breakfast and guest services. And new carpets throughout.
Location and parking are great. It's easily walkable to Beale ST, FedEx Forum, museums, and many restaurants. We didn't feel unsafe walking around the area, but we were back at the hotel by 11 pm. A coffee maker in the room would have been nice. The rooftop area is nice and has a good view of the river and bridges.
Hotel lovely building in a good location. Bedrooms great size and bed comfy, sheets etc clean and towels white and clean. Generally some areas of hotel need some care and specific cleaning done. Under small table in reception it was covered in dust. lightshades stained. Carpets in reception area are cream and filthy/marked..why have cream..try woven would look better.
No bottled water in rooms/no tea making facility either. Water would be good, especially after travelling!
Staff very pleasant except for roof bar one girl ignorant every time and disrespectful, couldn't care less attitude...definitely should not be working with people!
No food at roof bar, despite having a small menu (cook not working??). Suggest get one who does or take menu away! Lots of drinks unavailable again on notice board! Lets the hotel down, along with some areas not being clean/tidy and the downstairs bathrooms need tidying too.
Stayed here while travelling Tennessee before a cruise and was very disappointed. The staff are amazing and location is great but that’s where the positives end. Let’s start with floor coverings. They are ill fitted and dirty. The place is really dated and while the location could be described as good, the breakfast I would consider to be simply disgusting. Knifes and forks are plastic. Scrambled eggs artificial and coffee undrinkable.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Rooms huge and housekeeping excellent.
On a personal note. Would have liked either a kettle or coffee machine in room. But the staff accommodated us with a teapot of hot water when ever we requested it.
Well first impressions were good, spacious clean room and bathroom. Breakfast was good value. BUT......I opened a new bottle of perfume before going out for the day, later that evening I went to apply it again and it was gone! Searched everywhere and no sign. Reported it to front desk and was told they would investigate next day. We were leaving early next morning so left contact details including email address. Didn't hear from them next day so emailed them and no reply. Put a dampener on our stay especially as we were going on a 2 week cruise and no other perfume with me.
This hotel was in the perfect spot for walking to the Nightlife. There is a roof top bar that’s view will blow your mind. The beds were very comfortable. Only problem I would say is they need to update there carpet in the rooms. But besides that we enjoyed the hotel and staff.
The location was 2 blocks from Beale street and one block from mississippi river. Perfect location near everything. 10 min from Elvis Presley house and 3 min from big pryamid of Bass pros shops.
The atmosphere, Ms. Ebony was all smiles from the moment we walked through the door. The room was cozy but not really upscale compares to neighboring hotels. The price was really good for new years Eve. They have a party on the roof top bar. We didn’t go but heard it was really good and upscale. You had to pay 100 per person. Parking is not free and pay 44 a night across the street at the parking garage. Breakfast had a good spread and served until 930 am. Eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, waffle maker, spread of pasties, Orange and apple juice, coffee ( no coffee maker in room). Would visit again.
We took a quick trip to Memphis and stayed at the Hu Hotel. We had an easy check-in/out with no issues. The staff was great and our room was super cute! We would definitely stay again!
The lady in the hotel lobby was very kind. Rooms were clean and comfortable. We would definitely go back if we are in the area.
Good hotel
Staff were very helpful and friendly
$10 breakfast was ok enough for the money
Room was good clean and decent size
Position of hotel was very good for Beale street
Only downside for me was the price of drinks at the rooftop bar very expensive unless happy hour
This hotel is falling apart. If you are use to traveling you won’t enjoy this hotel. Major renovations needed. The shower in my room had cracks in the tile , glued with material that looked like cement . I also had to listen to water running through the night. I kept thinking, where is that water sound coming from. I was worried my suitcase would be wet when I woke up. The elevator had warped tile and parts were coming undone. The bed was very hard, the room was as clean as it could be. The roof top bar has outrageous prices. $24 dollars for one drink! Don’t expect too much from breakfast, simply pitiful and it$10. A continental breakfast would have been better than what they served. The only positive was the staff, their personalities and service were outstanding.
Absolutely love this hotel and not to mention the staff was soooooo friendly and kind . The rooftop drinks were 🔥🔥🔥 and the food was amazing . Mr.Willie at the front door was the nicest and coolest staff member who made us feel ever so welcome. We will definitely be back asap.
This hotel was one of the nicest we stayed in on our trip.
Yes it’s a little tired with regards to the paintwork but it was clean, comfortable and homely.
The location was also good although we used Lyft to get around a lot.
The breakfast was a little early for us so didn’t try it but the fact it was an option is a big bonus because Memphis doesn’t seem to wake up before 11am!!!
The rooftop bar at sunset is stunning.
We loved the fact that housekeeping was on request as we hate being disturbed every morning by the staff wanting to get done in other hotels.
I don’t know his name but the young doorman on the evenings was very welcoming and friendly at the end of a long day of sightseeing.
We would definitely stay again.
Tv no service no towels in the room had to go to the front desk several times with complaints. The furniture is old it smells dusty and molded , there was also other guest complaining about the tv service. Google surprise it looks nothing like the photos
Great first impression when we pulled up at the door. Parking instructions spelt out and then we were encouraged to check-in, drop our bags (no rush) and then park the car across the road. Room was a corner King which had a separate lounge and a (proper) King Bed! Shower also a stall and NOT over the bath although the tap was a bit of fun - hot first then cold 😂. Rooms are kinda old but that’s the style and carpet could use replacing but no big deal. Rooftop bar is a must for sunset over the Mississippi River and the Bridges. However highlight of our stay was Eboni at reception - her suggestions for where to eat were both bang on - especially Gus’s Chicken. Highly recommended.
Eboni’s customer service was excellent. The location is really nice and they have a great rooftop patio to catch sunset.
A nice lactation with a ten minute walk to Beale street. The 10 dollar breakfast was great with lovely coffee and a nice section of foods. The roof top bar was fabulous with a really good happy hour. Our room was compact but was ok. Nice bed but boy was it high. Bathroom was big as well. A kettle would have been nice
