We stayed for 3 days in May. The hotel has an amazing rooftop bar with views overlooking the mississippi, with a great happy hour from 5pm to 7pm, it also had a party night on Saturdays, which costs $20, but was free for hotel guests.
The bartender Zac was amazing, friendly, helpful, he gave us great recommendations on places to eat and visit and made us lovely cocktails.
The hotel is in a good location, 10-15 minute walk from Beale Street, with lots of shops and restaurants nearby.
The hotel is very tired and dated, and needs a good deep clean in places.
Eboni in reception is amazing, she upgraded our room for us on arrival and was very helpful and polite.
Our room was clean but dated, the bed was very high but very comfortale, it was a large room but very dark.
A couple of complaints, we locked ourselves out of our room one time and i went to reception to see if i could get another room key, the girl on reception(not Eboni) was very rude and unhelpful, asked me if i had id, i advised it was in my room. After a few questions back and forth, she sort of just threw a key at me, just not good service.
Also on our last night, the smell of weed coming through the vents in our bathroom was sickening. We had to keep the bathroom door closed all night. If it had not been our last night i would have had to ask for our room to be changed.
I would not recommend this hotel as it cost the same as our hotels in Nashville and New orleans but was nowhere near as good.
Welcoming a pond arrival, clean, great customer service!

I did like that the location was near Beale street and a 15 min drive to Graceland. The view from our room was great,
I wished it didn't rain and the beds were very comfortable. I wish we would of had more time to explore but I would stay here again.
We didn't get a chance to see the rooftop view since there was a dress code and age requirement. We did meet the age requirement but since we just stayed one night we didn't have time to go up or get dressed appropriately to see it. We didn't check in the morning to see if we could just go up for a sneak peak. Also the parking garage was across the street from the hotel and it was a bit of an inconvenience to come and go as you please.

Hu Hotel is a solid 3-star hotel. Clean room, great bed, good towels, many UBS outlets for your electronics. Ample closet space, Iron, etc. Parking facility is across the street ($22per day). Walking proximity to Beale Street. Good bars and restaurants nearby. Walgreens was one block away where you can get water and drinks. Staff were generally very capable and resolved any issues right away.
Shower pressure was low. Only one attendant at the check-in counter during busy hours. The check-in counter was so small that only allowed one staff to check us in. The staff was very calm and efficient but it would be better if at least two people were at the counter.
Another negative thing was the carpet stains. The room was clean but the dirty carpet gave the room rundown vibe.
Didn’t have it
It cost
It has its own vibe. It has a lot of amenities in a perfect location with a really friendly staff.
I wish you didn’t have to park in a parking garage across the street and that there was actual parking there that would’ve been a little bit more convenient, but not really that big of a problem
The breakfast was decent
The hotel was old.Need be remodeled and updated
Friendly and helpful staff. Good location. Good size room.
Bathroom was clean but didn’t like the over bath shower. Had to ask for clean towels twice as housekeeping hadn’t left any.
