Water pressure in toilet was low causing us to request a plunger

Machine Coffee not so good. Scrambled eggs need to impove with cheese and veggies. Bacon preferred over the sausage patties & links, cold.

When we arrived the first night the entire floor smelled horrible, someone was definitely smoking Marijuana on the floor, it REEKED! I told the gentlemen at the front desk, he looked up and said and I quote “ thanks for bringing that to our attention” I stood there waiting for more and got nothing. The bed was horrible, it was hard as a rock and the room was not very clean, there was dirt in our shower that we cleaned ourselves before we could use it, after nothing happening about the marijuana smell I didn’t even figure I would waste my time. The second day there was a different person at the counter, I informed her about the horrible marijuana smell and she just said, “oh, was that on the 3rd floor? I thought maybe it was coming from the second floor, I couldn’t tell.” So again, no apology, no offer to reimburse us for the inconvenience, nothing.

This was a very nice clean hotel, the GM was very friendly and the lady who did the breakfast area was so friendly and great conversation. The hotel and the room was very clean, nice pool area. A very good breakfast.

Surprisingly great breakfast.
Pros:

First off, I'm reviewing this vs other hotels in its class.
Here is my breakdown. First the room itself was pretty good. The bed was comfortable, nice size fridge, the tv worked. The clock was broken though. The bathroom was the weak point of the stay. It wasn't dirty but there were some set in stains and fixtures need to be updated. The shower was fine, plenty of pressure and hot water. However, the sink would not get above room temperature. So much for shaving.
Here is the surprising part. The breakfast buffet was very good! The scrambled eggs tasted like eggs. The gravy was sausage gravy not that crappy tasteless pepper gravy. Sausages were plump and juicy. The staff was outstanding! The most attentive I have ever seen in this level of hotel. One woman even bought in fresh tomatoes and cantelope from her garden. They were both excellent and the cantelope was outstanding.
So, to break it down, Bedroom 4 stars. Bathroom, 3 stars. Breakfast and staff over all, 5 stars.

Stained towels and if they weren't stained they were dingy. We had ants and beds were hard. We bought towels and wash cloths and sheets .We got spray for the ants too. Already complained about the hard as a brick mattress. They moved us to a "suite". It was a little better but not much. So we made the best of it. An no we did not have food and had ants. Husband left his hat too. I left the towels and wash cloths on purpose.
