On arrival, we walked into the middle of a wedding which made things a bit of a challenge initially. The reception person gave my partner a bit of an attitude regarding parking but then was nice enough to put us in a room away from the wedding attendees. The room was clean, quiet, comfortable, and with plenty of charge stations for our stuff. The hotel is a bit of a walk from the center of town which was not an issue for us but might be for others. Unfortunately, the pool had a heavy chlorine content that caused some issues, and it is part of a well-trafficed health club which was not made apparent in the info. There was also some problem with the keycard on our room lock which caused frustration in opening it every time. All in all a very good hotel but could have been better.

Excellent waiter service. No hassle, quick and efficient service.
My room was on lower ground floor and while it was convenient for the pool and gym the room itself was very dark and dismal. No sun whatsoever and no net curtains which meant heavy drapes were closed over a lot. A couple of floors up would have been perfect as it was a special occasion.
Lovely facilities such as pool, restaurant. Food was great! Super fresh and large portions.
Didn’t have air con in the room and it was quite warm. Didn’t have a fan either so slept rather badly.

A lovely hotel in a fantastic location. It was far enough away from the noise of the city, but close enough to walk in. The room was clean and service excellent! We enjoyed breakfast served at our table and good quality food.
We visited the pool which was super clean and the water temperature was just perfect. Highly recommend.

The property was fantastic, the room was clean, modern and comfortable. The pool and leisure areas were also fantastic! We had a tasty lunch at the bar, and both the bar and reception staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful
My one small concern was that the staff at the leisure centre was quite rude/reactive. My wife arrived at 7pm after reception told me the leisure centre was accessible until 8pm. The staff member was instantly annoyed as he said that she needed to be out of the pool by 7.30 and took this out on her, she remained calm and polite but was left feeling unwelcome and under pressure

A short stroll into town but far enough that you are away from the busy streets.
Everyone at hotel Kilkenny make you feel welcome and at home from check-in to Check-out and in-between.
The gorgeous superior room with a beautiful garden view, had all the amenities required to enjoy a 2 night stay. Nespresso machine and pods, replenished daily.,soft fluffy towels and gowns and the best sleep ever in a big king bed!
A mattress and pillows that you sink into!

Overall hotel, restaurant, staff courtesy and location
I knew the room had no A/C but the corridors were too hot and the room temperature during our arrival was 26° when outside one was 3-4° less, moreover the bed was provided with a blanket. We kept away the blanket from the bed and slept with the window open, room morning temperature was still 25°, considering that outside temperature during the night is well under 20°.
Room cleaning not perfect, there was a marshmallow and another small piece of food on the moquette.
Breakfast can be improved.
