A beautiful beachfront resort with fantastic staff, great food and an excellent pool — a little date
Pros:

The staff were excellent throughout our stay — extremely friendly, helpful and always willing to assist. On our final night we had an issue with our room and the team had us moved and settled into another room within about 30 minutes.

The hotel has beautiful, well-maintained grounds and a fantastic large pool right on the beachfront. We ate most of our meals at the hotel and really enjoyed the food, with consistently good and accommodating service. The shower was excellent, and the generous supply of complimentary bottled water each day was a nice touch.

The location near Cicada Market is also a big plus. It’s a lovely market with great food and live music. Overall, despite a few minor negatives, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

Cons:

The hotel is getting a little old and dated in some areas, although everything was clean and well maintained. Our bathroom was also quite small.

The main disappointment was around the pool facilities. Families are at the pool from around 8am, yet the pool bar doesn’t open until 11:30am, so there is essentially nothing available other than water for the first few hours of the day. It seems like a missed opportunity. The pool and pool bar also close at 6pm, which feels quite early for a resort.

The evening bar is tucked away in a secluded area with seating that isn’t particularly comfortable or inviting. We rarely saw anyone using it, which meant the hotel lacked a lively place to sit and have a drink in the evening.

An Exceptional Stay
Pros:

Our seven-night stay at this resort exceeded all expectations. The location is exceptional—right on the beach, yet away from the busiest and noisiest areas, while still being close enough to the markets and shopping malls.

The room was cleaned daily and had a comfortable bed, mattress, and pillows, as well as pristine white linens. Six bottles of drinking water were provided daily in the room, and more water was available upon request.

The bathroom had a bathtub in addition to a separate shower cabin and was well stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, extra toilet paper, and other toiletries. Anything you might find missing could simply be requested. We asked for a weighing scale and a dehumidifier, and both were delivered promptly.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, both at the lobby/reception and in the restaurant.
The cozy gym is well equipped, and guests can also enjoy the sauna and yoga hall.

The hotel's huge grounds, surrounded by tropical gardens, exotic plants, and flowers, are perfectly maintained. The numerous swimming pools are clean and inviting.

Hyatt Regency Hua Hin is also pet-friendly. And I can tell you—it must be wonderful to be a pet at Hyatt! Some of the special activities and services available include a pet spa, pet-sitting service, pet afternoon tea, and more.

Breakfast was included with our stay, and as vegans, we had plenty of choices at the breakfast buffet. The Figs restaurant also has a special vegan menu, and the staff are knowledgeable about plant-based dining requirements.

Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily return.
