Pros:

Since my room wasn't cleaned I spoke with the front desk at around 5:45 pm to see if I could get a couple of coffee creamers and two plastic coffee cups for the next morning. The desk attendant wrote everything down and stated she would have housekeeping bring them to my room. I waited until 10: 45 pm then went to bed. Never brought them to my room.

Never used spa and didn't have a pet. Interaction with staff was not good. On check in the receptionist did upgrade our room without our requesting it. It turns out there were very few guests. The staff did not make up our room on day 2 and said they needed 24 hours notice. The front desk folks agreed to replace the towels and coffee pods but never did. The room had a tv that only showed snow on the screen and the front desk said they would send up help to take care of it. The help arrived next morning 15 minutes prior to checkout time. When we checked out of the resort our invoice included a daily self parking $25 fee along with a plethora of other fees not previously known. Room was nice and the property was well taken care of but otherwise we would not recommend this resort

The staff at the Tiki bar and Salt and Ash were outstanding!! The one day we could sleep in the fire alarm kept going off. The toilet did not flush properly. The hot water in the shower never worked, pillows were hard bed was lumpy with only 2 sheets and a very thin sheet like blanket. We were not told about maid service until we had already checked out and on the road. No maid services at all.

I am writing this review to express my disappointment with my recent stay at Hawks Cay Resort. There were multiple issues that left us feeling misled and taken advantage of.

First, our room was not cleaned for two days. When I raised the issue, I was told that housekeeping was “by request only” since it wasn’t busy season. At no point during check-in was this communicated to us. As a result, our coffee pods were never replenished, forcing us to purchase our own coffee. Even when the room was finally cleaned, the coffee was still not restocked.

Second, at checkout we were surprised with a $25/day parking fee for our rental car. When booking through Expedia, we were informed about the $55 resort fee, but at no time were we told there would be an additional parking charge. Not at booking, not at check-in. This feels deceptive and unacceptable.

Lastly, this trip was for my wife’s birthday. We saw the TV screen displaying birthdays and asked if her name could be added. We were told this had to be requested at the time of booking. How would a guest possibly know this in advance if it’s never mentioned? It felt like yet another missed opportunity to show even a basic level of hospitality.

Overall, the lack of communication, surprise fees, and disregard for guest experience reflect poorly on your resort. These issues should be addres

We thoroughly enjoyed our spa massages. The resort is spread out and we will keep the villas in mind for larger family vacations. Staff is generally trained well but frequently do not go the extra mile one expects to find at a luxury resort. Salt and Ash was a nice dining experience but not altogether unique. We actually discovered a hidden gem of a restaurant, off-property. The Angler and Ale restaurant was mixed, inconsistent; some of the food was hit or miss. Had to send back the yellow tail piccata because the fish smelled fishy and the piccata sauce was overcooked, stiff not a juicy lemon-butter caper sauce that it should have been. Some staff was friendly and helpful, others were aloof and rather militant in their approach to customer service. Also did not know the resort was kid-friendly and pet-friendly; it was overrun with kids during our stay. We were in the main hotel section and sound travels through the HVAC vents. With a lot of kids on site, somewhat annoying. I've heard better comments in the past than what we actually experienced. Change in owner/management maybe???

We recently stayed at this property and overall, the hotel itself is quite nice. The rooms were spacious and clean, which we appreciated, but the mattresses left much to be desired—you could actually feel the springs, which made sleeping a little uncomfortable.

The biggest disappointment, however, was the service at the poolside restaurant. On both days, our orders were either messed up or forgotten. One day, after waiting over an hour, we had to cancel because our food never arrived. For the price we paid to stay here, I really expected a much smoother experience.

The property has potential, but the service and attention to detail definitely need improvement.

My room had roaches. I reported it to the front desk, he wrote it down and never bothered to try to resolve this. Had a clogged toilet in my room the same day as the 1st roach incident and I had to call multiple times before toilet was unclogged. The worst for me though was when my 3 Year old had a tummy ache in the night. 3am in a strange place I called the front desk to see if i could get something to purchase(cause everything is sold for a hefty surcharge) and was told everything is closed.The front desk told me to have a good day while my child was screaming on the phone. I was shocked. Needless to say I will never be going back. I have NEVER been anywhere and wanted to be back home so quickly. I only stuck it out for my kiddies. I had to search my suitcases and my clothes in my garage. Dont want bugs in my house. I was really disappointed

This property was miss represented . I booked this very exspensive resort 1500.00 dollars for two nights by your description and pictures of the two bedroom villa for my family and was embarrassed .
To start, it was extremely dirty. Not maintained and all the funiture, lamps, etc were in disarray. The carpets had urine stains all over them. The curtains were stained and all the hardwear was rusted out. I can go on but I will save it for your representative. The pictures in your ad are not even close to what our unit looked like. We had unit 5048 for you recordes. There was garbage dumpsters outside our door that were overflowing and smelled like a dump. I should have taken more pictures to show you. All the funiture from our neighbors unit was on there patio and sat there all weekend including roleaway beds , matresses. It was more like visiting the projects. I expect to be compensated for this problem. This was more like 100.00 dollor a night property verses the 700.00 per night I payed. You embarrassed me in front of my entire family. Please fix this problem.
