Aston Kona by the Sea

Everything was great! Beautiful view, crashing surf, nice pool and hot tub. Everything was clean and comfortable.

This place is a 10 out of 10. Quiet, staff was friendly and helpful, condos were super clean and well laid out, and well supplied, such as real pots and pans made of stainless steel, some teflon, but not all. Right on the water and right in town. If I ever go back to Kona, this is the place I will stay for sure.

The outside property was beautiful. Landscaping was meticulous. Pool area was very nice, along with the sandy area outside fenced in pool. 3 BBQ’s were a bonus. Parking in underground area was a plus. Our unit needs some TLC. Carpet was worn a bit. Tile floors could have been cleaner, as I walk around in socks & each day they were dirty. Kitchen was pretty well equipped, but no pizza cutter or scissors. No measuring spoons either. We had housekeeping every 3rd day, but only one of the visits did the crew scrub floors and vacuum. It was the last visit of our 2 week stay. TV was tricky to figure out. Ocean view was perfect and watching boats & various activities going on in the ocean was a plus.

Disappointed that I specifically selected a room with a king size bed. But when I arrived, they did not have one for me and then claimed that they do not guarantee the bed sizes that are explicitly displayed on Expedia.

We had a room with both ocean and garden/pool view. Very comfortable, full kitchen, and clean.

Beautiful views and nice pool area close to Kona restaurants.

Pros: great views, quiet, not a lot of people, close drive to everything, clean pool area, most of the staff was great and accommodating

Cons: dated rooms, room wasn't very clean to start, hassle with codes into every gate, mixed communication on towel washing, have to drive for food options

Overall good stay, wish room would have been more updated and better cleaned to start. A bit of a hassle at the beginning of the trip.

The tv in the bedroom did not work

Great idea front suite. Very clean room and the staff was amazing. From the front desk to the housekeepers to maintenance, they were all awesome! Highly recommend this hotel.

Amazing location with an incredible view. Should have planned to stay longer instead of heading to the Hilo side. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Everything is top notch regarding our stay. The pool and spa were very refreshing. The staff is attentive. The room was spectacular with a view of the ocean.

Just a lovely apartment - safe, 10 min drive from the town center, pool, beaches were close by and the ocean right behind! Kitchen was well equipped, balcony was beautiful, parking was plenty and mainly it was central to almost everything. We loved everything about the property. We also got pool towels, which was included in the resort fee, and we could take it anywhere and we can return them later.

ワイキキとは違う、でも美しい海が見渡せるすばらしい景観で、お部屋も広くとても快適でした。
チェックイン可能な16時以降でしたがフロントスタッフが1名で、前に並んでいたご家族のチェックインが終わるのに30分程待ちました。
いい意味でも悪い意味でもハワイアンな時間の使い方だなぁと。

Beautiful condo and wonderful views. We will definitely be back!

Well kept and a cut above most of the surrounding Condo complexes plus it has central air conditioning,….and right on the Besch.

When we checked in, we found out we were on the third floor. The elevator was broken. I had just had foot surgery within the last three weeks and had just been hospitalized for a week 10 days prior to


our arrival. Third floor without an elevator was not an option. Luanne at the front desk did find us a first floor room with a working elevator. When we got into the room, we found the sleeping arrangements would not accommodate the four of us. They ended up putting us in two rooms for four of the five nights. Originally they were going to charge us for the second room, but then comped us for the second room- we did all have to stay on the third floor, without an elevator, for our last night.
Luanne and Sandy were wonderful! Very thankful that they could get my daughter and myself on the first floor room.

The ocean view property we booked was very spacious and comfortable for a party of 4. The view was amazing. It was definitely the highlight of the property. Waking up to the view and being able to just take it all in at anytime of the day was well worth having an ocean view. The pool was very comfortable. It wasn’t too cold or too warm, just perfect. Not to mention that it wasn’t crowded at all times. Customer service at the front desk was excellent. All the workers were very friendly. Check in and check out was very easy and smooth process.
Just a couple things that were not great during our stay. One, the elevator wasn’t working for the entire stay. It was a pain to carry our luggage up three floors. The daily back and forth up and down the stairs became so routine it was like a built in workout! The morning we left (after staying there for 6 days), the elevator started working so we didn’t have to carry our luggage down. Second, the parking could be a challenge as far as getting your vehicle out easily. We had a 4 door jeep wrangler and it was easy to park in the garage but some spots were hard to directly get out. In some spots you had to maneuver and do many steps to get out so be mindful of where you park. Bigger vehicles are better off parking in the outside stalls to avoid getting stuck.

Tough review, I mean they’re trying their best but the property is old and it’s hard to hide that but the people were great and they really were trying their best to help with whatever possible.

Room was ideal for my wife and three daughters, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms was great. Staff members were friendly, courteous and very professional. The resort is maintained well, it is very close to popular beaches and the downtown area. The ocean is literally in the back yard, the pool and hot tub are very nice. Great stay, highly recommended.
