The location was convenient, and the apartment was spacious.
We were extremely disappointed with the ocean view we paid for. If you look at the property on a map, you’ll notice that only a limited number of units actually face the ocean.
Our apartment faced the parking lot, yet the property insisted that it qualified as an “ocean view” room. To see even a small portion of the ocean, we had to step out onto the balcony and look to the side.
We understand that booking photos are illustrative, but we certainly did not expect such a significant difference between the advertised view and what we actually received.
When we raised our concerns, the only solution offered was to change rooms for our final night, requiring us to check out at 11 a.m. and wait until 4 p.m. to check in again, just to leave early the following morning.
We specifically chose this property for the final days of our Maui vacation, and this experience was genuinely disappointing. We would strongly recommend that future guests clarify exactly what “ocean view” means before paying extra for it.
Location, beach, trail along beach. Morning coffee. Gym was fully equipped and clean. Nice toiletries.
We checked in, in the evening. Front desk young lady tried to charge me for the full amount. I showed her my 3 mail messages from Booking.com that showed we had paid in full and had a zero balance. She made us wait a full hour while she typed on the computer, made phone calls, etc and would not let us have our room. I explained very politely that my disabled 78 year old husband was exhausted and needed to rest after a long flight etc. and I would stay with her if she would let him go to the room, she refused to even consider it. In the end she resolved the issue somehow and let us have a room. Not a good start especially when I had all my receipts and proof of payment. This facility has NO ICE available. There was a lot of painting going on, and mess in general. Rooms are only freshened up or cleaned every 3 days. Some pastries or cookies with the coffee would be a very nice touch other than the same fruit every day. Change it up a bit.
Beautiful location with amazing staff who were very accommodating and helpful. Loved the coffee and fruit set up in the lobby every morning. We had a late flight and were able to store luggage and use private facilities so we could enjoy the beach and property after checkout.

Very nice and relaxing, perfect for our stay. They have a nice gym, laundry and free coffee, tea, juice and fruits for breakfast. There was a gentleman at the reception (which I forgot to grab the name, sorry) who was very friendly. Big and comfortable room.
That restaurant,Castaway, opens too late (8am) that for an area with not many options and where a lot of people starts the day early, I believe it opens too late. Also be careful at the beach, the sea looks calm, but it’s not.

Only thing location wasn't bad
It's a 3 stars hotel not 4 as posted on booking. The room we booked was studio premium with ocean view, the pictures of the room not related to the actual room at all. The bed was so bad to a point they have a 3 inch foam memory mattress on top of it that I couldn't sleep, room has very old furniture with lots of wear and tear, very dirty. Not worth the money at all
Close to the beach
The location, pool, beach, and room were all excellent. We loved that there are two pools, one bigger and close to the beach and restaurant with a shallow kids area, and one smaller garden pool without the shallow kids area which draws a quieter "crowd". We most appreciated that we were able to store luggage and use the pools all day after check out on the day of our 8pm flight and they have a nice shower room for checked out guests to use before leaving. Restaurant was great too. We'd definitely stay here again.
The place is great! I felt bad not having a place to recycle, and would recommend that for improvement. We'd love to see a happy hour at Castaway's - we didn't partake much due to the cost.
I thought I had booked an ocean view or at least a glimpse and my view was of a car park and a shared verandah
This is a family hotel and they do it well. Not ideal for singles but staff were lovely.
Durante la nostra luna di miele ci siamo trovati ad affrontare l'emergenza incendi a Maui. A causa della chiusura delle strade ci è stato fisicamente impossibile raggiungere il resort. Quel giorno abbiamo inviato tre messaggi chiedendo supporto, senza mai ricevere risposta: abbiamo dovuto cercare e pagare un alloggio alternativo in totale autonomia.
A fronte di questa situazione eccezionale, avevamo chiesto il rimborso esclusivamente di quell'unica notte non usufruita per cause di forza maggiore. La direzione ha invece negato qualsiasi rimborso, eludendo la questione e liquidandoci con risposte automatiche che scaricavano la colpa sul blackout elettrico (da noi mai contestato) e invitandoci a rivolgerci a Hawaiian Electric.
Il giorno seguente, una volta riaperte le strade, abbiamo trovato il resort privo di corrente elettrica, acqua calda e linea per contattare le nostre famiglie in Italia: un ulteriore e pesante disagio, ma ben distinto dalla nostra richiesta.
Non contestiamo la calamità naturale, ma la totale assenza di empatia, ascolto e sensibilità da parte della struttura. Da un resort di questo livello ci aspettavamo supporto umano in un momento di grave emergenza lontano da casa, anziché un freddo e immotivato rifiuto. Sconsigliato a chi ritiene fondamentale l'attenzione al cliente.

Room was a little outdated. Property only cleans the room every 4 days which consist of trash removal and new towels. Inquired about a couples massage and never received a call back to make a reservation.
