We booked a standard King Room, but to our surprise, we were upgraded to a spacious King Suite! It came with a full kitchen, a separate living room, and a private bedroom. It was such a wonderful surprise and made our stay even more comfortable. We truly appreciated the upgrade and had an amazing experience!
Property was perfect

Outside seating unacceptable. Cushions were dirty and torn. Staff was unconcerned. Paying for parking seems like a money grab.
Die Zimmer sind großzügig und sehr gut ausgestattet. Das Personal ist freundlich.
Das Frühstück ist okay aber nicht wirklich gut. Es fehlt an Auswahl und der Kaffee ist schlecht.
The hotel is in a nice area with good food close by.
The bathroom shower had mildew and the room did not smell fresh at all. The late night desk attendant wasn’t polite or welcoming at all. The deposit is a bit much at $250, parking fees and even late check out was $50. Aside the from area, there’s nothing special about this hotel l.
While the room and property at Hyatt House San Diego/Sorrento Mesa were excellent, the check-in experience was disappointing. After calling ahead and being told an early check-in around 2:15 PM might be possible, I arrived at 2:25 PM and was offered a first-floor room for a $25 early check-in fee. Since official check-in was at 3:00 PM, I chose to wait after being assured the same room would be held for me. When I returned just after 3:00 PM, I was told no first-floor rooms were available, assigned a second-floor room, and asked to wait another 10 minutes. My family, including our toddler, waited in the lobby, but no one provided any updates, and the employee who said she would personally bring our keys left for the day without checking back. We eventually had to inquire ourselves and didn't receive our room keys until about 3:25 PM. I hope management improves communication between staff and the check-in process to provide a more consistent experience for future guests.
We bought the stay with credit card points, upon check in we were told the room wasn't paid, so we gave the confirmation number and we were assured everything would be taken care of. Upon check out, they tried to charge us, so we had to call the bank and who confirmed the room was paid. Thankfully the bank called the hotel and got it sorted. So "we will handle it" meant we will wait and make you deal with it in the lobby while checking out.
We have been the Hyatt House multiple times now. It's a comfortable suite hotel that has plenty of space for our family of 4 plus our dog. This hotel is friendly for dogs in that it is accommodating for outdoor eating in the back patio with your pet as well as easy access to spots for them to do their duty. Disposal bags are available on property in case you forget yours. Always enjoy this hotel and will visit it again if we need the amenities that Hyatt Houses have to offer.
Location of the property was perfect. It was right off one of the highways and off a main road - very convenient. The guest service people were very kind, warm, and enthusiastic which is a plus for guests’ first impression and especially coming off a long flight. The 1-bedroom suite in room #450 was spacious and comfortable and seemed to have new carpet and renovated bathroom. The kitchen and living area table and counter tops were not cleaned from an assumed previous stay. The supervisor on duty on 6/6 at around the 14 or 1500 hour responded that I would have had to have requested housekeeping and been on the list prior to my alerting her, even though I had just arrived for my first check in day. When I told her that she rebutted that she would see what could be done. Very bizarre. When I returned from a quick run, the leftover debris was still in those areas and the supervisor claimed that she’d sent housekeeping. It’s alright though because I took a video of the issue areas and will present it if necessary. My stay included a second iteration in room #377 - a queen double. It was clean-ish. The bathroom was slightly wiped over but not sanitized cleaned. A big red flag was a used shower curtain. I’m not sure why that would be a thing in 2026 but I just made sure not to touch it and left it outside the shower while I bathed. Overall the property is huge and the first level guest services people were very professional, the supervisor may need additional common sense training, and the housekeeping staff in the main areas were very sweet.
Nothing !
I reserved a night for my family yesterday 05/28 and when they arrived were treated horrible. They were denying my family access to the facility. I had paid for the room and my card was on file and all my family had to do it show up and check-in. Once my family member asked for a refund since they were denying access to the room they said the refund was not going to happen as they were not responsible. They wanted to steal the $211+ from me when they were the ones denying access to my family ! On top of that they asked my family to pay $60 for parking ! When it clearly said FREE parking ! I will NEVER be booking with them. Worst experience ever and I don’t recommend anyone to stay here if you want to get treated like shit and get your money stolen from you !
The location is perfectly closed to my office, the hotel is nice and clean. I loved the big room with full kitchen, a couch and 2 TVs. It was very quiet for the most part, except when there were some guests having a BBQ downstairs, but nothing crazy. I slept well every night.
