Hyatt House is definitely awesome
I definitely didn't appreciate that I was given a room not only was that it was on the 1st floor (Suite) shoved in the corner (#176) but right next to the pet area (Poop) 😟 it broke my heart as I paid decent $$$ for mediocre service 🤷♂️
The hotel was better than we expected. We had a clean room, comfortable bed, great breakfast, good location, and nice outdoor seating.
Location. Walking distance to restaurants.
Had some issues with the bathroom door, in the unit. It does not close smoothly.
My suite was very spacious with a full kitchen/dining area, living area, bedroom and bathroom. The bed was comfortable although VERY soft (to the point it was hard to get out of). I was here for a week and it was quite restful. The workout room was nicely appointed.
There's a nice fire pit outside, and an outdoor pool, but I really wished there was a hot tub.
The location was convenient if you had a car - quite close to both the Torrey Pines and La Jolla areas, and the Westfield outdoor mall. However, it is not in a pedestrian friendly area.
Staff was outstanding . Nice and clean rooms. Great location.
I had a great stay at Hyatt. The breakfast was very good with plenty of options, the hotel offers lots of amenities, and everything was clean and well maintained. Comfortable and enjoyable experience overall—would definitely stay again.
I'm rating this hotel 1* for 1 reason -- the absolutely ridiculous self-parking junk fee of $22/night. There is no secured lot, no security, no covered parking; it's a simple money grab by Hyatt, & they don't care. And, if you think your Hyatt status will make a difference, think again; it couldn't matter less. You can park for free on the street; do so, & send a message to management. Shame on Hyatt for taking advantage of its' guests!
Staff was very friendly and did a great job helping with last minute room request. The room was very spaciousand comfortable. The breakfast area was spacious and had good options.
Room was incredibly spacious - my room had a full kitchen, living room, in addition to the bedroom. Room was clean for the most part. Complimentary breakfast is nothing to brag about but it's decent for being included. I like soft scrambled eggs and they do it well. The location does have some restaurants in walking distance - I walked to Karl Strauss during my stay which is about 1 mile away. The hotel is situated in a techy area of San Diego so pretty clean and seemed safe to walk at night.
The only miss in this whole experience was the shower floor. The shower floor is tiled and the color of a dark brown. Some of the corners of the shower floor were dark and dingy. I'm grateful they also provide a rubber mat in the shower to step on because I would not want to step onto the shower floor with bare feet. It seemed gross. The room itself - everything was clean and seemed well done - big swing and miss was the shower and especially the shower floor.
Excellent location and friendly staff
Layout of the room and seamless flow from kitchen to room
Amenities in the room like more towels more soaps and napkins
The location was fine. The breakfast was decent.
The room was tiny and outdated. It was expensive for being such a tiny rundown room. There was not enough space to put our bags and clothes
If you think you are going to get a quiet experience at this location on the weekends, you can forget it. Don't book on the weekends. They book too many sports teams all at once. I was told there were four different sports groups booked on the weekend we were there. The halls were filled with kids running up and down. The downstairs area where they serve breakfast was packed in the evening with lots of people and kids. The line for the breakfast area in the morning went out into the hall way. I have been at this establishment before but on the week day and its quiet with corporate people. The weekends are a different story. Its night and day.
Clean
Everything was very clean, the staff was extremely friendly and always willing to help. The breakfast was delicious, and the team there kept everything spotless. The room was amazing, and I really enjoyed my stay.
