It was the perfect spring break getaway.
Pros:

The staff will go above and beyond to make your stay perfect. The suites are spacious and the in suite washer dryer is a complete game changer. It’s a great value when you consider 3 chairs and an umbrella included in your rate. You can also enjoy the pool and amenities at the Don CeSar. The beach was quiet and the pool was the perfect temperature.

Cons:

Bring a shower caddy because there isn’t a place to set your washcloth or shower accessories.

I would not stay here again.

I like that it was on the beach and that it was a condo

I didn’t like that there was a lot of construction going on next-door that no one mentioned and that - our room was right on the street side and the bedroom window looked out onto the parking lot. Trucks started going by at 6:15 AM and were quite loud and woke us up. We were only there for a night but when we checked out, I did mention it to the manager who just said sorry for any inconvenience and that was about it. I purposely went out of my way to stay at this hotel when we were traveling through the area because I had stayed there before and the last time was a good experience. This was certainly not worth the $650 a night. If I had wanted my bedroom to be on the parking lot side and have traffic and construction vehicles waking me up I would’ve stayed at a roadside hotel for much cheaper. Very disappointed that the management didn’t offered to do anything at all.

Perfect getaway!
Pros:

We truly enjoyed our stay. The location was great but was enhanced by the people who work there. A couple I’d like to mention specifically..Fabian was excellent and kept the beach chair/umbrella area in top notch shape, seeing to each visitor’s individual needs. In addition Patrick was fantastic helping us when we checked out. We will definitely return for a longer stay.

Stay here for the beach and view
Pros:

My wife and I go to this area for the white sand beaches and beautiful water. We start the day with coffee on the balcony and see Fabian or Alex arranging the beach chairs, cleaning up after the previous evening and setting up umbrellas for guests to arrive at 9:00 AM. They are hustling the whole time. When I go to reserve an umbrella and chairs with them, they both are very cordial and helpful in getting towels arranged on the chairs and ask if I need anything. During the day, they were both very attentive and conversational and made the stay on the beach very pleasant.

We went to the pool at The Don for the luxury experience and enjoyed it very much. Kira was the activity director and we were glad we met her. She encouraged the guests to play a game and kept coming around with a co-worker at times to check on us. The extra attention made a difference in our enjoyment.

The accommodations at the Beach House Suites were ok, but not 4 star by my standards. Several things in my room needed to be fixed, which I reported and was told would be fixed that day. I checked the next day after the issues were not resolved and was told they would be fixed that day. I called back the next day and finally got the 5 issues resolved.

The resort has a run down and tired feel, but it’s on a gorgeous beach with beautiful sunset and that is what you’re paying for. The bar next door has loud music playing and a bright floodlight which illuminates their part of the beach which is angled toward these suites, which takes away from the enjoyment.

Gem in St Pete Beach
Pros:

Wonderful time at the Don Cesar Beach resort. Staff is super friendly. It’s probably my 7-8 time staying there over the last 20 years. The updates to the property are very nice. I do miss the full size over. The fitness room at the main hotel is outstanding. Highly recommend this property .

A lovely weekend getaway.
Pros:

My sister-in-law and I needed to escape the winter for a few days and this was a great getaway! The kitchenette meant we could have breakfast and lunch on site easily. The room/bed was comfortable, the beach was lovely, the umbrella and chairs were perfect, and access to the pool and hot tub were even better. We only used the included tram while we were there because there are so many restaurants close by. It was nice to fly in for the weekend and not need a car.
While we didn’t take advantage of anything at the main resort property, we would have if our stay was a bit longer. We would come back again any time!

Cons:

My only complaint, really, was that some guests were loud late at night, but that isn’t really the resort’s fault.

Don CeSar Shuttle — 5 stars!
Pros:

We used the shuttle at the Don CeSar multiple times during our vacation and cannot say enough great things about this service. The drivers were phenomenal - very personable, kind, and gave great recommendations of places to visit. We are grateful for this service and thankful for the wonderful drivers!

Fabian ( beach manager) was so wonderful and took good care of us on the beach and Tasha on the bar was super.
Pros:

Fabulous as usual ..glad to get back here after the storm in 2024. So glad to see some of the same staff still there .

The Beach Manager Fabian and the Bart Hostess Tasha are absolutely amazing.
Pros:

We were so well taken care of. They made our stay special for us.
The suites have been updated and are comfortable. Very small fridge but a nice kitchenette. The shuttle drivers are so friendly and efficient. What a great service. They need to bring back the benches by the shuttle though.
