Beach House Suites by the Don CeSar

My sister-in-law and I needed to escape the winter for a few days and this was a great getaway! The kitchenette meant we could have breakfast and lunch on site easily. The room/bed was comfortable, the beach was lovely, the umbrella and chairs were perfect, and access to the pool and hot tub were even better. We only used the included tram while we were there because there are so many restaurants close by. It was nice to fly in for the weekend and not need a car.
While we didn’t take advantage of anything at the main resort property, we would have if our stay was a bit longer. We would come back again any time!

The service they offer from one resort to the other is amazing. No pressure to deal with local traffic and the stress of finding parking! The drivers were personable and helpful in recommending the best restaurants from breakfast to dinner!!

The suites were decorated beautifully & has everything you need to make the stay so enjoyable! The staff was friendly, responsive and exceptional service! The view from the balcony was serene for breakfast & happy hour! The extra touch with the white comfy robes and heated pool was delightful!

Now I know what you're thinking. Did I fire five times or six. Well in the excitement I lost track myself... Sorry, wrong movie. I know what you're thinking though. The Don Cesar. The Pink Palace on the Gulf. Wide beach, historical hotel. Yes, that is all true. But the treasures I speak of are the employees at the Beach Suites, that made the stay exceptional. First, the experience at check in. Aimee made it a pleasure, and if you don't think the front desk manager sets the tone for your stay, read my review of our encounter with the front desk clerk from hell at the hotel in Tampa. Second treasure, Raymond the shuttle driver, who will drive you up and down the street to your restaurants, and provides a wealth of information on where to eat. Take his advice, he knows his meals. And the best for last, Fabian the beach master. Friendly accommodating, anticipates your needs, a true gem. Memo to management, buy this guy a golf cart, so he can set things up and take them down easier. I have never seen a hotel or resort employee work harder than him. The rooms at the Beach House are large, with all you need. Great shower with almost instant on hot water. If you think that is not important, try waiting 5-7 minutes for the hot water, as at some places we have been to. And there is nothing like watching the sunset in the Gulf, whether from your balcony or on the beach. The food service at both the Beach House and the main pool, can use some upgrades, though.

Raymond has been our driver several times. He is amazing! He always answers his phone, takes us where we need to go, gets us there safely, and is sooooo fun!!!

I love the Beach House suites, the shuttle is a great service. Raymond is wonderful and very knowledgeable about the area. The pool area, tiki bar, rooms, everything are A+, clean, very well stocked which is wonderful!

Ramon was the best driver. Gave us recommendations on where to go around st. Pete’s beach and was always there very quickly. Thank you!

When one talks about excellence, I truly believe that there are certain places that we can say that word and people know the true meaning everything was truly excellent. They have taken perfection to another level. Location ,cleanliness ,views ,employees !employees were some of the best !service politeness! The atmosphere showed through the employees happiness to be at work! The rental bicycles were not just any bicycle but the best E bikes I’ve ever ridden on! What more can I say? But absolute perfection for a weekend? Thank you.
