My wife and I have been using the Wingate-CLT for several years for travel. It is clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced. If you are lucky Latesha will check you in in her bright, friendly, and efficient manner. When we called for the shuttle at the airport they came quickly and we had no wait, the driver was friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. This is not a resort. It is a great hotel for the traveler or the traveling business person. I have read negative comments about their free breakfast; my only observation is that I have low expectations for free hotel breakfasts and I am rarely disappointed.
All staff very friendly especially Latecha. However, the breakfast left a lot to be desired. I spent 23 years in the army and have experienced fake eggs and food kept warm in containers and that is what it tastes like. Bread for toast did not look fresh. The badge could not be cut by the plastic knife. Room very comfortable and clean.
Just returned home from a great stay, every aspect was perfect, both shuttle drivers courteous specially Michelle. The breakfast has several options that got us through the day, front desk was helpful. The room is huge and tidy, tv selection was great, just a short lyft or uber to downtown without the prices, snack stores and market close by. Please consider this hotel as an option on you're next trip to Charlotte.
This hotel was sufficient, clean, had two good restaurants close by, and the staff was very friendly. Only complaint was that the breakfast, even though it was “the usual” had very stale bagels which I toasted twice and were still inedible. And the oranges weren’t the freshest but those are small

Extremely helpful staff, easy process, shuttle available from airport. Overall my stay was a bright light in an otherwise difficult day of delayed flights and missed connections.
For those needing a place to stay near the airport the Wyndham is an ideal choice. Reasonably priced, clean, large rooms, comfortable beds, a good breakfast, and a 10 minute drive to the airport.
Lateshia/Leteshie (spelling) at the front desk was awesome. She was multitasking and doing it very well. Breakfast was just so so. Leroy, our shuttle driver was a hoot and made the trip to the airport very entertaining.
Room was nice, quiet, and clean. Devonda and Leroy were outstanding staff that I interacted with. Highly recommend their services.
We chose this hotel from previous reviews because of the close location to the airport and the availability of parking for our entire trip and the shuttle service to and from the airport.
Rarely do hotel staff make an impression, but Leroy, the shuttle driver, and Devonda absolutely made our trip. Devonda scheduled the shuttle right when we arrived - no waiting every hour or 30 minutes...they send when you call. She also arranged for us to check into our room at noon for a small fee, which was well worth it. Leroy was hilarious, and the two of them really made our 1-night stay very enjoyable and easy.
Staff very helpful and courteous! Shuttle bus drivers were very patient specifically during the on & off again trips to the Charlotte airport. Breakfast bar had several choices, both warm and cold food. The rooms were clean and the hotel looked very welcoming. Our shout-out to Latisha, Leroy, Vernon, Cassandra and Devonda and the rest of the staff.
cleaniless, friendly front desk, hot breakfast- that lady works her butt off. Always said good morning. Nice desk for a business computer that actually works. the room was perfect, nice bed, fridge with freezer. Kinda a sketchy area, people walking around everywhere. I had no issues with plane noise- I use a sound machine on my phone anyways. Workout area has weights and treadmill, and a few bikes. If you want fresh pure water, use the gym. I was here a week, and had turndown service once , as requested just to get fresh towels.

I booked this hotel room to stay at after a day of Carowinds with my daughter . We did not arrive until 10:30 p.m. and it was late and we were exhausted. Upon arrival, I was checked in and when I got to my room I realized that they had given me a king size when my reservation was for a two double bed. I called down to the front desk and advised them of the situation. I spoke with Charles who told me that I was incorrect and that my reservation was for a king bed room. I advised him that I had proof on my phone that I had a confirmation for two double beds. He hung up on me. I went down to the lobby and, as I was speaking with the other lady down there, I advised her how I was hung up on by Charles. He started laughing hysterically. The other lady went on several times to tell me that when Wyndham booked my hotel through my rewards program they did not book me two double beds. She finally got on the phone when she wouldn't listen to me and found out from another employee that, in fact, I did have a reservation for two double beds but for some reason they had not canceled the king size they mistakenly booked in error, which caused 2 rooms to be booked. I did advise her that I did not appreciate that Charles hung up on me to which he started screaming at me that he did not hang up on me. My daughter did interject at that time stating that he laughed the first time when I said he hung up on me. At this point he became belligerent and started screaming at us, "FIND A MAN TO TALK TO ME! FIND A MAN TO TALK TO ME!" in an extremely misogynistic and violent behavior. I'm sure this will be denied by Charles so I do encourage Wyndham to check the lobby video camera on 10/18/25 @ 10:30pm to 11pm to see how your poor excuse for an employee acted. This made me embarrassed to be a Wyndham customer and I have second hand embarrassment for Wyndham for having chose this person to represent Wyndham at their front desk. I was never given an apology for the way he acted, getting my room wrong or for them not listening when I tried to tell them there might be more than one room. They need to talk less and listen more. Once I got to my room, the double bed that I did, in fact, book - I found it very outdated. The furniture looked to be from the 1960s and not all the electric outlets worked. Never again. This has made me weary of continuing to book Wyndham Hotels going forward.
From start to finish, the customer service was outstanding. I really appreciated the thoughtful email reminder to check in — and the follow-up text was even better! It made it easy to let the front desk know I’d be arriving late due to a delayed flight, and they replied right away with a kind note of reassurance.
The room was just what I needed after a long day of travel: clean, cool, and comfortable. While the furniture and AC were a bit dated, everything worked perfectly, and the bed was wonderfully comfortable.
Location was very close to the airport, a very nice bonus at the end of a long international flight.
A special thank-you to Charles at the front desk for the warm welcome and smooth check-in. Excellent service, restful sleep, and genuine hospitality — exactly what a weary traveler hopes for!
