Carlton Lodge Hotel and Suites

Pool was closed whole stay. No breakfast cook didn’t show up. No elevator had to walk up to second floor. Gave me a 5.00 discount if I wanted to stay another day. Of course I did not and went to another hotel

They allow dogs but not cats.

toilets wouldn't flush, beds were hard, towels were dirty, dust was on the lamps, windows and everywhere, ice and vending machines were out of order, breakfast was cancelled because the chef called out : /

The pet fee is a bit much, even when booking online and the pet fee is 15 dollars per animal I'm still being charged 40 dollars per animal, and most times I have 2 dogs and that's absolutely ridiculous to be paying as much for a pet fee as for a room, no one wants that added fee and especially for that amount, I have stayed at countless hotels in my years and I e always seen a 20$ pet fee ONE TIME no this hotel charges you PER DAY PER DOG so be aware when booking that when you check in with an animal you will be paying as much for a room if taking 2 animals or taking one animal for an extended period of time, I wish they would lower the fee or be like other hotels and just charge them a fee for the pets one time and if any damages come arise well you have there credit card on file and you don't give room deposits without checking the room so I don't see why the pet fee is so high when there's other solutions instead of just making money off people by charging them a ridiculous pet fee like 40 per dog per day, that's absurd

Satellite service must need adjusted. The TV was going in and out. The TV needed updated. Batteries low or something in the remote. Difficult to change the channels. The Door shut hard it took several tries to get it to shut. I feel tge hotel is getting very old and needs updated. The beds were comfortable but a little high to get in. Of course I'm short at 5'1"
It smells very wet or moldy in the hotel. No coffee pot in the room and they took all the trays out of the rooms. They were going to replace it but we told them never mind.
The breakfast on Friday wasn't ready at 7 and coffee was very strong. No other choice. So We went down to the gas station to get coffee.

I have never been charged a deposit by the day one night 2 deposit. Their employees are rude

The staff was rude. It’s gotten worse and worse. I’ve been coming here for years and it used to be the best place in town to stay and now it’s always a problem. Breakfast an hour or two late every day. I didn’t eat but maybe once the entire stay. Had to go to country skillet. No options besides sausage links and that’s it. They now charge you deposits and I have had problems with it twice now. They tried to keep my deposit bc of a “smell” but when I went back up there they didn’t have a smell or a reason to not pay me my deposit back. I will try my best to not stay here again if I can help it. I’ll pay the extra money to not worry about the mess going on up here. Staff is half and half. Half are decent the other half are rude and don’t wanna work or don’t want to work here at least.

Outdated, could use a remodel. No elevator. Water stains on ceiling. Not physically appealing for the price we paid.

The chairs in the dining room could use some recovering or a good scrubbing. They’re pretty dirty looking.

Not clean … very old and out of date.. a layer of dust on the lamp and dirty bathroom
