Staff brilliant. Warm Yorkshire welcome every time
Pros:

The staff are amazing 👏 🤩 especially Simon. Simon would go out of his way to help you in any way you needed

Cons:

There were no grab rails above the bath making it very difficult for me to get in and out of the shower, the shower head kept sliding down and drooping over the bath sending the water everywhere but where was needed

A very pleasant overnight stay !
Pros:

The hotel was ideal being close for the rugby league and also close for the train station.Lovely and comfortable and excellent staff.

Cons:

Just one small point was the size of the bed. As I’m over 6ft tall I found the bed a bit on the small size which made it a bit uncomfortable for my self .

We will NEVER return
Pros:

We went for a funeral and the reception afterwards was there so we stayed as we live in North Yorkshire

Cons:

There was not enough staff at the reception bar the queue was horrendous, we then went to check in and three other people were waiting so I went inform bar staff so that took 20 minutes, we then were given a room and the smoke alarm was going off intermittently so we had to back to reception and then move to another room with no apologies in fact it was if we were being a nuisance, the second room window sill was extremely dusty and the toilet roll holder was unattached.

Pros:

Friendly professional staff. Clean bathroom and room. Good value for money. Large, airy restaurant. Good menu.

Cons:

Parking: apart from four or five spaces for cars most cars have to be parked in a gated compound on the other side of the road. Daily servicing of room is just by request, but the cost reflects that this is not a hotel with all the frills.
