A clean and comfortable hotel, excellent access to transport links, and great value for money
Pros:

I stayed at Hotel Scott House from 3–7 January 2025 and had a very pleasant overall experience.

The hotel is housed in an old building that is shared with other guesthouses and hotels across different floors, which adds to its character. There is a service lift available that can accommodate up to two people with luggage at a time. Alternatively, the stairs are always an option — and a good cardio workout if you prefer them.

The hotel itself is well maintained and simply decorated, creating a calm and welcoming atmosphere. The room was comfortably furnished, very clean, and practical, with simple décor and the added convenience of a small fridge, which made the stay feel comfortable and relaxing.

The hotel is extremely well located, just a short walk from Roma Termini train station and close to major bus stops, including those used by airport transfer services. This makes getting around Rome and travelling to and from the airport very convenient. There are plenty of nearby restaurants and convenience shops, and public transportation is easily accessible due to the hotel’s proximity to Roma Termini.

I would especially like to commend the staff for their professionalism and friendliness. Lyn and Joyce were particularly helpful throughout my stay and made a positive difference to the overall experience.

Despite the initial issue on arrival, I had a very enjoyable stay and would certainly choose to stay at Hotel Scott House again on a future visit to Rome.

Cons:

The only downside occurred on arrival, as I was initially allocated the only remaining room (Room 401), which unfortunately had a noticeable smell of cigarette smoke from a previous occupant. It was surprising that this had not been identified prior to assigning the room. However, to the hotel’s credit, the issue was handled well — the following day I was moved to another room, and the staff kindly offered to transfer my luggage while I was out, so everything was ready upon my return.

Fantastic, clean and budget friendly hotel in extremely central location.
Pros:

Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean room. Lovely breakfast.

Cons:

Don't be too scared of the stairwell! On arrival we felt very worried about how dark and grim appearance but as soon as we got to the floor of the hotel, we were met with a bright and clean hotel entrance.

Dejé al hacer el check out dos cadenas de oro en la cama, llamé al hotel para hacer el reporte y me dijeron que no consiguieron nada, aún cuando no había otro huésped en la habitación después de mi.

Que pena conseguir personas como estas, deshonestas y ladronas.

Très bon séjour à l'hôtel Scott House (excepté l'ascenseur en panne). Très bon petit déjeuner.
Pros:

Petit déjeuner copieux et varié, du salé du sucré.
Personnel très sympathique et accueillant.

Cons:

L'hôtel se situe au 4è étage d'un immeuble. Lors de notre séjour début juin 2025, l'ascenseur était en panne. Nous en n'avions pas été informées... Nous étions avec notre grand mère de presque 80 ans... et notre chambre se situait au 5è étage.
