Location in reference to airport
Wasn't the best setup for the bathroom space. Hallways seemed a bit dirty. Seemed like more workers than actual people staying there.

I checked in on 01 March 2026 at around 13:00 and, while waiting in the reception area, I witnessed an incident that left a profoundly negative impression of the hotel’s culture.
An elderly woman, likely in her seventies and visibly mobility‑impaired, arrived after what she said had been a three‑hour car journey. She politely asked the reception staff if she could use a restroom. Instead of showing even the most basic compassion, the two receptionists refused, stating that the staff facilities were on the third floor, the lift was out of order, and that she was not permitted to use them.
The woman pleaded with them, explaining frankly that at her age she simply could not hold her bladder any longer. Despite this, the staff dismissed her request and ultimately chased her away with a level of rudeness I found deeply unsettling. I am from South Africa, where we are taught to respect older people — even when they may be difficult — and to show compassion wherever possible. What I witnessed was the exact opposite.
What made the situation even more frustrating was how easily it could have been handled differently. The staff could have assisted her upstairs, or simply opened an unoccupied ground‑floor room for her to use briefly. Small acts of kindness cost nothing, yet they chose indifference instead.
This incident demonstrates a serious cultural issue at this hotel. A hospitality business that lacks empathy, especially for elderly and vulnerable people, needs urgent reflection and corrective action.

The convince of the location friendly and very helpful staff! The room was very clean and very well stocked plenty of cannels to watch on the T.V.
I was by the Ice machine and could hear it though out the night and it was a little cool in the room. But it should be so cool in NV it was cold that night.

La atención y calidez del personal
Las instalaciones muy bien. El desayuno bastante completo. Las habitaciones cómodas.
Pésimo el trato del personal. Nuestro vuelo se atrasó 6 horas por problemas climáticos. Llegamos a las 4 de la mañana cuando debíamos llegar a las 10 de la noche. Me atendieron desde afuera diciéndome que mi reserva (ya pagada) estaba cancelada porque eran las 4 de la mañana. Tenía habitación hasta el mediodía. Sólo quería bañarme, desayunar y dormir unas horas. Después de insistir me dejaron entrar.
Pero todo de muy mala manera. Me sorprendió porque ellos hasta tienen los vuelos en una pantalla es su hotel..y podían verificar que mi vuelo (qué había cargado en la reserva estaba retrasado).
Luego de este inconveniente todo resultó bien.
The hotel was clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was comfortable. It was festively decorated for Valentine's Day.
Easy quick check in. Clean room. Welcoming space and great breakfast. Never had better at a hotel. The best Western Abbey Inn is the only place I will stay at in St. George.
