Check-in abysmal!!! We let them know we would be arriving around 7.30 after our flight from Auckland. Unable to gain access. After hours buzzer wasn't working and nor was the after hours phone no. that just rung unanswered!!! Fortunately a member of the team happened to turn up not related to us and was able to access the key box. I've read other similar reviews. Entirely unacceptable. Our view was of the car park and an alley with bins that were overflowing!!! Only basic TV channels. The cafe was closed the entire time but thankfully there were places close by. On a positive note, we had a very nice welcome pack including a bottle of wine and it was very clean and very close to Albert Park for the GP. Four star it's not.
Room was clean and comfortable, and when i had to stay an extra night the front desk staff were most accommodating, to ensure i could stay in the same room.
The gentleman who was there when l checked in went above and beyond to help me so very much appreciated
Wonderfully helpful friendly staff
Lovely rooms, but the hallways, including the wall paint and the carpets are dingy and give off the vibe of one of those dodgy motels you see in 1980's B-grade movies. I'm not sure if they're about the paint the walls, but there are patches near the floor area, plus the carpets are really dirty. It's such a shame, as the actual rooms are lovely. Yes, the bathrooms and kitchenettes are tired, but clean. It's just those horrible hallways....
This hotel was okay.
We were meeting friends in the city and didn't want to travel back down the peninsula afterwards. Hotels in the CBD were premium priced because of the Chinese New year so went for somewhere out of the city but easily accessible. Loved the old school, separate clearly marked taps. Proximity to tram line & Spacious
Great price. Simple but clean and parking is easy
Good value and location, convenient to the central business distriction and bayside suburbs. Room was neat and tidy and more than big enough. Given the work-from-home trend St Kilda Road, at least in January, was quiet. A practical base from which to experience central Melbourne.
The location outside CBD is great and then easy to access. Neighborhood is nice. Not to much shop close though.
Close to parks and beach. The hotel is quiet and clean. I definitely recommend this place. Restaurant was close as they are renewing the place so don't count on it
We booked direct with the hotel. The young man was lovely and very helpful.
However, we didn't know that arriving before the 2pm check-in time you are charged an additional $25. There is no disabled car park in the underground secure parking area - you park in the driveway at the front of the building.
The room had a small kitchenette with microwave.
The bed was large and comfortable but the room was old and tired and not what we expected.
We won't be staying there again.
Was advertised as fully self contained apartment yet there was no savoury supplies (salt/pepper etc). There was no small kitchen utility knife only a huge chefs knife. If you are going to advertise as fully equipped, make sure it is fully equipped. Otherwise the accommodation was good and clean. The staff were nice and friendly.
Very big rooms great staff
Never ever ever ever stay here as a word of advice it’s the worst check in service of a hotel in all of my life - I was hung up on 8 times waiting to check in stuck outside the door at 8pm at night. Then I had to provide a $250 bond with photos stuck outside - for what? What on Earth could you need bond for $250 it’s empty with no mini bar. I don’t trust it at all.
Then after finally getting in at 8.30 washed my hair and the dryer broke straight away and no one is at reception to fix anything as it shuts at 7 and I’m gojng to bed with wet hair as the reception isn’t manned away from 7-7x
I’m mortified
It’s a dump that is obviously going broke - stay WELL AWAY spend $10 and go up the road. What a dreadful experience
Great stay.
Serviceable, room smelt and bare minimum essentials provided. Probably wouldn’t come back
Park Regis St Kilda Road
offers Great service Very clean and functional rooms Location perfect for Albert Park and The Alfred and easy tram ride everywhere else So super value for money Thanks all Frank and Anne.
No need to write more this says it all
Bathroom could do without the bath and a larger shower, but otherwise perfect.
Easily accessible and easy to find.
The property is ageing and tired and in need of a refurbish the shower head was loose and wobbly the caps on all the taps we loose which I hand tightened and the rooms smelt slightly musty due to lack of air circulation it was slightly better when the heat pump fan was on to create circulation
