Perfect stay in Florence.
Pros:

We had a very enjoyable experience. All aspects of the stay exceeded expectations, reception staff, bright reception area, spacious clean bedroom, spotless bathroom and excellent breakfast. I will recommend the hotel to friends and family.

Very very satisfied.A great hotel that has so much to offer.
Pros:

From entering the hotel to leaving the experience was primarily beyond expectation excellent.Temperature control within the room was a slight issue but cleanliness and all other aspects of ‘human’ service were fabulous.I will com again and recommend anyone I know to do so.

As mentioned; ability to temperature control the room would have been better …(too hot).

Pros:

Great room and in a good location. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and gave us some recommendations on what to see in Florence and the buses. The breakfast was amazing, so much choice.

Una estada molt còmode i tranquila, on ens van tractar molt bé.
Pros:

L'esmorzar estava força bo, però no hi havia molta varietat.

El personal de l'hotel era molt simpàtic i amable, i sempre es van oferir a ajudar-nos a qualsevol cosa que necessitessim.
Vam tenir un parell de problemes amb l'habitació i ens ho van solucionar al instant, i ens van fer un petit regal com a compensació.

La ubicació està bastant be, a 10 minuts caminant del Duomo i a menys de 5 minuts de la Galleria dell' Academia. És un barri molt tranquil amb una parada del tramvia a dos minuts caminant del hotel, molt còmode.

Cons:

Les úniques coses que no ens van agradar tant va ser la mida de l'habitació, que era una mica petita i la finestra donava a un pati interior. L'altre cosa, va ser l'esmorzar, que era una mica reduït, però estava molt bo.

An amazing hotel with superb staff.
Pros:

A truly excellent hotel that is located in a great place for all the attractions and services. The staff were brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. Everything about our stay was superb. They also gave us a bottle of bubbly upon our arrival as this was a celebration for a special birthday. The food at breakfast was excellent with a fabulous range to suit all tastes. Well done to everyone.

Florentine Boutique Hotel Gem
Pros:

This is my third stay in as many years. This visit was 8 nights. Orto De' Medici is a true Florentine gem. Just a few short blocks from the historic city center which is also just enough to ensure a quiet place to stay while being so close to the Duomo and San Lorenzo. The hotel itself is a charming boutique hotel with very comfortable and quiet rooms, some with balconies if you wish to splurge. Nicely appointed bathrooms, with SS Annunziata products (that store, BTW, is very close to the hotel and I have purchased a couple of bottles of their scents to bring back to the U.S. They are a constant reminder of my affection for Florence.) The beds are very comfortable as well. Rooms have very good individual climate controls. And their morning breakfast buffets are excellently stocked with something for every dietary preference whether full on bacon and eggs, or just breads and cheeses along with fruit, cereal or cold meats. And don't miss the freshly squeezed orange juice! The breakfast room is attended by an efficient and gracious staff. And speaking of staff, all are very polite, from check-in to check-out and accommodating and helpful with things such as dinner suggestions and reservations. And the truly impressive part is I have seen the same staff working there over my past three annual visits which is impressive in the hospitality business! I hope to return again next January for my fourth stay. Please don't change a thing!

Home base for a few days.
Pros:

The location, the staff and the room itself were all excellent. We stayed three nights and found Hotel Orto De' Medici to be a good home base. You will have to walk a bit depending on what you wish to see but that's life in the centre of a modern/medieval city!
