Exceptional high-end hotel - with upscale, renovated rooms, a friendly, helpful staff, and an easy walk to the Academia, and the Dome. The breakfast is first rate and the overall rating to this property is five stars.
Excellent stay at Hotel Orto de Medici. The staff was very friendly and helpful at check-in, as well as sharing dining recommendations, and the best way to navigate Florence. The room was comfortable and clean, plenty of space for our family of 4.

Loved our stay. The front desk was so helpful. The rooms and common area were very nice and clean. The staff for the delicious breakfast was top notch. And the bartender, was amazing. We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend. Easy walking distance to many must see museums.
The hotel is structured smartly such that you face an inside garden, so light comes in and you dont hear the traffic from the room, at least the one i booked. Its about 10mins walk which is fine, i dont want to stay way to close in crowded attractions. The reception and dining staffs are all very helpful and kind, i think they hired the right people. High ceiling and interior is nice.
It’s a tat expensive for the junior suite, i felt overpaid although hotel is nice. Toliet is huge with bath and toliet section, i think they can mute the toliet glass for privacy and safety, almost bang into the glass door. Breakfast was okay, doable range but can see how to better the taste.

The view from my room was definitely not aesthetic.
The room was spacious, quiet and comfortable, with a large bathroom. The hotel is about 15 minutes away from the main sites. We loved it very much!
Beautiful spacious hotel near San Marco and Academia with courtyard garden for afternoon drinks and lovely breakfast. Quiet yet near everything. Elegant interiors and wonderful staff who were super helpful with securing various “skip the line” tickets. Florence even outside peak season is insanely crowded and hectic and this hotel was a true oasis!

This is our second time in Florence and we chose this hotel because the previous one which we loved didn’t have availability for 4 people, this time we traveled with our children. Well, what a great surprise!!! Orto de Medici was amazing!!! Very well located, quiet, well maintained, great amenities, fantastic staff. The breakfast was delicious with great variety and amazing quality. Everyone was welcoming and nice to us. The room was spacious, something very strange to find in Europe. The beds and linens great as well. We loved every single moment of our stay in Orto de Medici and we would love to go back. 100% recommended.
We enjoyed the central location of this property because most everything we wanted to do was walkable. It was very quiet, the room was huge, so plenty of room for suitcases. There was one chair to sit in, a large tv (we never used it) teas and pocket coffees and water kettle. The bathroom was large and towels were great. Though no American sized wash cloths there. Whole hotel was clean. The breakfast was delicious with many gluten free options if desired.
