The Rose Hotel

Lovely hotel and great locations. Room was nice and bed was comfy. A little loud at times though, the train comes through at 5:30 AM tooting its horn, our room was by the cleaners closet so there was banging going on all day when trying to work and nap. We had the do not disturb sign on the door, but we were still called twice to ask if we wanted our room cleaned, waking us from our nap both times. And then at check out the lady at the front desk was very impersonal border lining rude. However, the person when we checked in at night was very friendly. Lovely hotel staff might need a little bit of retraining or evaluating focusing on guest the experience.

Hotel is located in Pleasanton downtown surrounded by cute little shops and restaurants. We got least expensive room. Was very spacious, cozy, robes, slippers, water, candle, speaker, wireless phone charger and other cute touches. Bathroom is also huge with everything you need. Reception Melisa was welcoming and warm person. Breakfast is included, self serve. They had smoked salmon, nice yogurt, berries, all kinds of fruit. We definitely would stay here again! We made nice memory.

We stayed in this beautiful location over Christmas. I did not want to stay in the city, so my daughter surprised us here , in Pleasanton, as our present. We are seniors, and traveling from the east coast, exhausted, the Rose was perfect. Decorations exquisite, hot tea and coffee 24-7, snacks and candies and fruit abound. We arrived very late due to delays, but the front desk was warm and inviting. The elevator was helpful, and the room accommodations , cleanliness, comfort and space, superb. Many places no longer offer tubs, but here, it was utilized daily. I have travelled for many years, and to many places, but I must admit, the Rose has been a highlight. Thank you staff for your kindness and making Christmas extra special, and thank you Osborne Co. Inc. of Livermore for this recommendation.

Love the hotel, our room and the location. This was our 4th visit and we ended up in a smaller room than previous visits; I need to figure out which room we loved and be sure to book it next time. Breakfast is a nice continental, the coffee is good, the staff is great. Location on the edge of downtown is perfect. And they have EV charging in the garage. Lots of little niceties like bathrobes, candies on the bed, slippers, comfy chairs (two of them!) in the room to relax and read in. This is one of our favorite hotels.

This hotel is in a perfect spot in downtown Pleasanton with plenty of parking . I loved absolutely everything about this hotel can’t wait to stay here again !

We went as a couple . Spacious and clean room .They offer all what you possibly need in your room . I think the furniture and sheets / bed cover need updating . Breakfast is very ordinary and people who serve breakfast are not the happiest employees ! The host lady was helpful and hospitable at front desk and during breakfast . We asked the staff member who takes care of the food to have poached eggs and it seems he was offended .

The room was very nice and clean. Breakfast was delicious. Would stay here again.

Beautiful room with lots of welcoming touches including water kettle and cafetière with Peet’s coffee! Staff went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.

Lovely property, attentive service, spacious clean quiet room. The hotel is located next to the cute shopping and restaurant district of downtown Pleasanton, yet quiet and peaceful at night. The garage has reasonably-sized parking spaces, not crowded together. We enjoyed gracious hospitality from Ms. Hue at the front desk. The hotel proprietor is lucky to have her. She treated us like guests, not customers. Don’t skip the expanded continental breakfast, even if side tables piled with grab-and-go snacks tempt you. I’m unaccustomed to a bathroom larger than my first apartment. Only possible drawback here is if you’re hostile to decor and prefer sleek modern unadorned horizontal surfaces. We will return.
