Amazing place to stay... very close to downtown Hobart.... walking distance to the cruise ship! Great food in the area.
Location was perfect and close ti everything we needed. Apartment was a good size and enjoyed great views of the harbour.
We stayed twice within a week in 2 different rooms. A mixed reaction with some positives and some negatives. Firstly the positives.
Location is perfect for the harbour, restaurants and tours. The apartments are well appointed with a lounge overlooking the harbour, good kitchen and decent bedroom. Can sit on the balcony overlooking the harbour.
The negatives included……apartment 17 was a bit smelly like a dirty drain. We didn’t realise this was specific to the room until we went to room 13 for our next stay, which had zero smell. There were no bath plugs in apartment 13, the clock radio did not work, and the fridge did not shut properly. Some of these items were resolved when we raised them with reception. The air conditioning was very noisy, and you could hear the units in the adjoining apartments. Also, the controls were different in apartments 13 and 17, even though the instructions were the same. Overall the apartments are “tired” and need redecorating (at least)
We enjoyed our time here, but the sound insulation between rooms is really bad. You can hear everything, Parking is a mess, and the place needs to be less like an old Ibis and more up to date. Having said that staff were great, and having an ability to cook in that area is worth it.
location was great
Don’t stay here. Our room was filthy. The main bedroom smelled like urine, and the ceiling fan was covered in dust. The portable fan my sister needed due to the lack of air conditioning upstairs was also extremely dusty, and we had to clean it with a tissue, removing thick chunks of dust. We recorded everything and took photos. There was what appeared to be a bird dropping on the TV, sticky marks on the walls, and an ancient aircon that barely cooled the lower level but did nothing for the upper level or bedrooms. During summer, it was hot. There was dust and dirt behind the bed side tables. We complained to reception and received a refund. No way were we staying here. We then booked at the Hilton Hobart, which was cheaper, and beautifully maintained. The manager was very kind and promptly issued a refund, for which I’m grateful.
We loved the view including the balcony to enjoy it
We were disappointed with the second bedroom - it was not a room, just a space outside the main bedroom
Excellent location in the heart of the attractions on the water. Wonderful outlook to Mt Wellington and to the water. Parking is the challenge and property is dusty and starting to be dated. We enjoy our stay and the friendly staff.
Love the location just the lack of parking. Rooms where excellent
Loved it. Overlooking Constitution Dock, a working harbour, the apartment a little tired but wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else in Hobart.
Amazing location (right on the wharf) with fabulous water views. Handy and walkable to the CBD and Salamanca Markets. Parking options available nearby. Staff were so obliging with all of our requests, for example extra tea bags etc. Christmas morning they hand-delivered Tasmanian Christmas gingerbread.
Room was good, we had a balcony as we got upgraded with VIP access which included $45 mini bar credit which was great. Location is perfect. Room wasn’t that well sound insulated. Could often hear people talking and doors slamming. We would stay again as it was great value.
Really lovely property!
Great location, simple, clean and no-fuss. Amazing spot for pictures and central to all food, markets, transport, and tours pick-up. Recommended overall for families, especially the views. The hotel needs an update of room A/C (equipment) for the price. 😊
Beautiful location
Didn't like the bathroom being on a different floor to the bedroom. Also charged for bottled water, expensive, the furniture was old but I guess we paid for the location.
The only thing I have to complain about is the parking. I booked this hotel because of the reviews and it said self parking. They only have a few parking spaces which makes it hard when you aren't in time to get there parking spaces with their name. There are others but it isn't very clear which ones you can park in.
Staff friendly and helpful and it’s a great location
Great location on the pier. Parking is included! Easy check-in. Very clean also! The apartment had a kitchen including a dishwasher. There's also a washer dryer inthe unit. Walking distance to restaurants and grocery stores and shopping. Recommend this property!
Great location near to everything
