Pros:

We always enjoy staying at Plaza, location is great, we like the vibe and the rustic hotel.

Cons:

We were not impressed with situation at the pub. We look forward to kicking back in the pub after driving all day. The pub was closed for a private party until 6pm. Fair enough, but, we went down after 6, still closed, so, we went elsewhere, returned after 7pm, still wanting to dine in the pub, still closed, so I asked the attendant why don’t let the public enter anyway,there was plenty of seating, she gave me a blank stare and shrugged her shoulders, I was disappointed, we left, had dinner else where. Although some people would say oh well, that’s the way it goes sometimes, Thats not me. I was not pleased. I think we’ll go somewhere else next time. We have always made the Plaza our go to spot when we travel through, always have had a great experience in the old place. But, that’s all it takes sometimes, one bad experience, and it unfortunately changes one’s outlook on what was once a great experience to a very disappointing one. So, this is a sad icon 🙁

Pros:

Person on reception was very helpful. Laundry facilities were hard to find but pretty quick and efficient.

Cons:

The room was dirty with vomit splatters on the wall, cupboard and floor of the bathroom. We had to ask twice for it to be cleaned properly and still wasn’t done fully. Room was hot and AC does not work. Noisy area with a lot of homeless people around. Was not aware the parking was charged an extra $8 a day until we arrived, which was a not secured parking lot with few spaces for larger cars/ our small van. Breakfast was very basic but did the job.

Cons:

Included breakfast is really a free basic breakfast. Free room space is at a premium due to 2 doubles beds in.there

With previous visits we were always fortunate and were given a king corner suite for the same price.
Pros:

The breakfast was ok. The location of the breakfast was very nice. For the price we paid it was acceptable.

Cons:

Our room was small and had a fogged out window facing the other part of the building.

Horrible they scammed me! Should have listened to my friend.
Cons:

They had mold in the shower and gave me a room that had no curtain in the shower. The shower was too tiny to fit in especially without curtain so I didn’t shower well. Also their toilet is like a baby potty. Too shot my knees hurt.
Their customer service lied and had a lot of hidden charges. They put $349 on my credit card on hold for just checking in 11 pm and checking out at 9:30 am. He lied it was $150.

I need my money refunded

Pros:

Location, right down town. Close to restaurants , shopping and medical appointments. Friendly staff, a decent free breakfast. (Scrambled eggs, etc)

Cons:

The second time we stayed there, our room didn’t have an air conditioner and it was an uncomfortable warm evening. Also, area of town is an older area and strolling around in the evening we felt relatively safe but there was sometimes some interesting characters on the street. The hotel is older , clean, but lots of spots were looking worn.

Amazing, a bit of history with a nights stay, i love the quaint old building.
Pros:

Was just what i needed a clean little place to stay for the night at a reasonable rate! breakfast was a variety of foods that would allow for a quick breakfast, as i had, or a more formal full sit down event.
