Noisy until 3am on a Friday 8am wake up text trying to get you checked out. Coffee machine put in an impossible place to use. Area little sketchy.
Based on my experience at the hotel, I have no comment. Although hopefully one day I will be able to give feedback about that.
I didn't like the way I was treated by the staff. Because I received a call from the hotel confirming my booking and half an hour when I showed up the lady said the room wasn't available, so i showed her the email confirming the booking and I just felt mistreated, when I asked to speak with the supervisor I was told "no".
Basically it was a disapointing experience.
And I wasted money on a cab to get to and from the hotel which also was disapointing.
Bed was fine, room was nice and I liked the Heritage value. I liked the downtown location and the close amenities.
In shower there is no shelf to place anything, like your bar of soap.
The photos of this property way over sold what you actually get when you arrive. The idea of this hotel sounded and looked charming and like a beautiful piece of history and you arrive and it’s the complete opposite.
It’s a horror house. Rooms smell like cigarettes. The room was dark and dingy. The bathroom door was closed and latched when we walked in the room which was concerning. The homeless population runs this area. Not enough parking at the hotel and the homeless were looking in car windows and trying to get into hotel guests vehicles parked in their “parking lot” at 3pm. Told the woman at the front desk and she didn’t seem to care. This is not somewhere I would bring my family or children or anyone. It’s a highway motel super 8 run down and stamped as a historical building.
Good value.
Heat was not functional (turned on only seasonally) and rooms were cold.
Ok, nothing special.
Room small, old dirty windows. Bathroom floor filty
TV not in good working condition. Carpets need steam cleaning. Had to pay $8 for parking .
Never will stay there or promote this place
I had a great stay at The Plaza Hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. Everything about the hotel made the stay enjoyable. I would definitely come back and recommend it to others.
Liked that we could walk all over downtown, that it had breakfast- muffins were delicious. The bed was very comfortable and that it had a fridge.
The shower was very small. We had to pay for parking every night. We were told that we would have parking beside hotel that we had paid for and then went to park for the night and it was available. They told us we could park a couple blocks away. We ended up finding a spot on the street not too far from hotel but had to leave by nine.
Breakfast room was very good.
Food
I had the pleasure of staying at The Plaza Hotel for just one night, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the warm and attentive staff to the beautifully appointed rooms, everything exceeded my expectations. The breakfast was exceptional, and every detail throughout the hotel reflected warmth and care. Every member of the team made me feel welcomed and valued. I highly recommend The Plaza to anyone looking for an impeccable stay — I can’t wait to return!
The staff were very nice.
The hotel is very old definitely not 4 stars. Beds were terrible mattresses sagged and uncomfortable. Parking is terrible have to worry about break in of vehicles.
A good restaurant for both evening meal and breakfast.
