Decent standard as Pan Pacific is a given but rooms are now quite old. Good location with view of lake. Bf is good and I joined a company event with hundreds of people at banquet place and food was excellent! I was really impressed by level of food for such a large party (300+ people).
Nice gym and indoor pool area.
Rooms are good but a bit old. That’s the o ly part separating from a 5. Otherwise well worth a stay. Have stayed before and would stay again.
Probably the best city hotel in Hanoi when it comes to location and service quality! The service staff members in the Pan Pacific Hanoi Executive Lounge were wonderful to us. They put in their best efforts to get to know all their guests and went out of their way to provide a lot of useful information, particularly Chloe who had spent some time curating a list of places and delicacies we could try in the next port of call at Hai Phong. Duka and Minh were attentive and discrete in their service, and making sure everyone was comfortable and contented.
A very positive experience. Check-in was efficient and friendly. The concierges were helpful. The room was comfortable and everything worked well.
The breakfast buffet was one of the best we have seen. The rooftop bar was a pleasant setting for a sundowner.
A very well-managed property with hospitable staff. What more could you ask for?
The only (slight) negative is that the hotel has reception rooms on the mezzanine above the reception area. On two evenings there was music playing which we could hear in our room (cheesy ballads one evening and dance music the second).
The public areas were great, there’s a rooftop bar where you can get drinks and small meals. We used this every night that we were there. The staff were great.
The only downside was that the room had electrics ( plug sockets and cables) that were not in great condition - some sockets coming away from the wall. The bed was comfortable
Der Zugang zur Lounge und das Frühstücksangebot mit einem sehr zuvorkommenden Service.
Der Empfang und die Gepäckübernahme war nicht berauschend, doch die Unterkunft als solches kann man empfehlen.
The property was beautiful and located in an area walkable to many sites. The lake near the hotel helped to dampen city sounds. Room was clean and well furnished. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was great!
Modern facility with great amenities and restaurants.
Traffic!
First time in a Pan Pacific and it was just wonderful.
We booked a club room and the club is quite something. Great views, very quiet atmosphere, great food options. Actually one of the best lounges we have been to.
Most amazing were the wonderful staff. Yen who checked us in was such a nice person.
And the very charming Hoang too. We can highly recommend this hotel.
Khách sạn 5* mà phòng tắm bị hỏng nước nóng, khách phản hồi thợ kỹ thuật đã lên xác nhận.
I really had a great time at the hotel, everyone was welcoming. The staff at the executive lounge were truly outstanding, especially Chloe , Yen,Duka & Christina were warm attentive and professional. They greeted us with a smile and anticipating our needs before we even had to ask.
Exceptional service !

Bekvämt boende, med allt man behöver. Vet vad man får.
Dyr frukost. Hittade mycket bra alternativ på Truc Bach
We stayed three nights at the Pan Pacific Hanoi after booking through Amex’s Hotel Collection and had a very pleasant experience overall. As expected with the program, we received a room upgrade to a lake-facing room along with a $100 USD property credit—which goes a long way in Vietnam and added real value to the stay.
Location
The hotel is located just north of the historic quarter, right off a main road and within an easy walk (less than half a mile) to the Old Quarter. Hanoi’s late-December weather was ideal for walking, and we frequently strolled into the Old Quarter to explore. The Pan Pacific made an excellent base for sightseeing while still feeling a bit removed from the chaos.
Room
The room was a good size and in line with expectations for a five-star hotel, though the property itself feels slightly dated. That said, everything was comfortable and functional. The bed was very comfortable, and I appreciated the bedside controls for A/C and lighting. The bathroom was on the smaller side but perfectly usable, with good shower pressure, a soaking tub, and even a clothesline for hanging items.
Fitness Center & Pool
The fitness facilities were a highlight. The gym is well laid out with separate areas for weights, cardio, and yoga, and features a solid selection of Technogym equipment. There’s also a full-length, Olympic-sized swimming pool, plus a separate locker area with two (lukewarm) jacuzzis, a steam room, and a sauna. Overall, a very good setup for staying active while traveling.
Food & Beverage
We didn’t have breakfast included and chose to use our Amex credit for laundry instead, so I can’t comment on the dining. We did visit the rooftop bar, however, and it was lovely—especially in the evening. The patio offers serene views over the lake at night, and drinks were reasonably priced by U.S. standards (around $10 USD each).
Service
Service throughout the stay was friendly, efficient, and genuinely warm. The front desk staff spoke good English, and when we checked out early but wanted to continue exploring Hanoi, the bellhop team was happy to securely store our luggage for the day. Small gestures like this really stood out.
Overall
The Pan Pacific Hanoi is a comfortable, well-located hotel that offers great value—especially when booked through a program like Amex Hotel Collection. With its walkable location near both the Old Quarter and French Quarter, solid fitness facilities, and warm service, we would absolutely stay here again.
Very impressed with the service at Pan Pacific Hanoi.
