The Hotel will not rent a room to an individual who resides within the Albuquerque Metro area and a thirty-five (35) mile radius beyond Albuquerque.

The Hotel will check identification documents of guests and confirm the guests’ residence addresses for the uniform application of the policy.

I’m a plumber/pipefitter for 18 years, licensed in about 4 states (New Mexico being one of them), I called to tell them we had to take a cold shower if someone can come fix it (it was a shower cartridge issue) the ignorant man at the front desk said “it’s cause it’s a full hotel and many people are showering at once” I told him “that’s not true, you guys have a boiler system to withstand this type of problem, and clearly a recirc line cause I’m getting instant hot water at the lav sink” and he hung up, when I went to the front desk, the lady said he left, told the lady what happened and she said she can’t do anything cause it’s a full house, and I asked for them to simply fix it then, told them the cartridge brand and part number, no one ever came

Horrible Customer Experience
Pros:

We booked a room on 1/14/2026 paid in full for the weekend of 2/13 for a dance competition my daughter is in near by. We live out of the city about 35 minutes and it’s easier to stay in town due to 7am call times. The day of they called and said they cancelled the reservation because we are not 35 miles out of town. This is not posted anywhere on their website site, and they wait until day of to cancel. Now I do not have a room and my money is tied up with them. I have no issue if this is their policy but I have huge issues with it not be clear on their website before booking. We are not in the metro area and not even in the same county. If this is their policy they should have the decency to notify their PAID guest in enough time to locate another room. This is a horrible practice!!!

In Albuquerque, the Rio Grande Inn should be your lodging location!
Pros:

The owner of this franchised hotel (Best Western Rio Grande Inn) goes over and above what most hotels would provide. The staff and service are exceptional! Breakfast in the attached restaurant was also exceptional. I have stayed at this particular hotel several times, and never have I been disappointed. I would easily recommend the Rio Grande Inn to anyone staying in or passing through Albuquerque.

Super friendly staff. They even had a goody bag for our dog. Dinher attached restaurant was deliscious as was the complimentary made to order breakfast.
