Excellent. Thanks to the A-Team at the front desk.
Pros:

As always, The Hotel Beacon was superb. When attending a show at the Beacon Theater, or just visiting the city, it is perfect. Have stayed many times and look forward to more visits.

Cons:

It would be nice to have an onsite cocktail lounge. We miss the Beacon Bar and hope it opens again soon.

Location, spacious room, friendly staff

Cons:

Gave me a free upgrade for my first night and when I became stranded because of the Blizzard they they expected me to pay the regular rate for the upgraded room. They reduced it a bit lower when asked still would not keep it at the rate I was paying for the first. It felt unfair because we were already settled into the room and I did not want to pack and move so we paid more just to stay put.

- no breakfast available at all was disappointing especially given it says there is breakfast for a fee on booking.com!

Pessoal da limpeza mal educado, entravam no quarto e colocavam a gente pra fora, mesmo a gente informando que não precisava entrar! Só jogava as cobertas por cima do lençol, não limpavam e nem varriam o chão! Tinha sujeira desde o primeiro dia!

Hospitality in a Blizzard
Pros:

It wasn’t a surprise that my stay at Hotel Beacon was nothing shy of GREAT! I manage a restaurant in the Area and so when the blizzard of February 2026 hit, I needed some place to stay warm and safe for a night or two while NYC got cleaned up.

People come to my restaurant raving about their stay at Hotel Beacon all the time. I officially get the hype! The front desk team led by Victor & Yomi…amazing. From door to car assistance, to a hand written custom note and Bubbly!

Home away from home
Pros:

My sister and I were so happy and comfortable. The staff were helpful and accommodating. The rooms are clean, with a great kitchen area, large fridge and even a gas stove. The neighborhood delights include Lincoln Center, the Museum of Natural History, and Zabars! Thank you staff, I’ll be back.

Fabulous location, room and staff!
Pros:

If you are considering this hotel - do it!
We loved our stay here. The rooms are clean and big and the beds are really comfy. The location is brilliant if you don’t want to be in the busy part of New York. It takes less than 2 mins to get to Subway and so quick to get to midtown (42nd Street) but it got us everywhere we wanted to go,
But the best thing about the hotel was the staff, they were amazing. So happy and helpful!!

It was okay.

Location. Staff.

Cons:

The heat was off and the room was freezing when we arrived. We turned it on and it was very loud, and made the room extremely dry and uncomfortable. The bathroom sink was dirty upon arrival. And in the morning of check-out, the elevator kept passing our floor, we kept pushing the button but the light on the button was not staying on indicating it wasn’t working properly. I had to call the front desk to ask them to send it up to the 6th floor. And it did, but with someone in it going up higher. We had to get i. To go up to go down. We were late getting where we needed to go. Very frustrating. We have stayed here many times and it’s the first time we had so many issues.
