Staff was incredibly nice and Direct Access to Times Square if you want to be in the mix of it all! Bellman went above and beyond, probably the highlight of my hotel experience! Top notch!
The entry at the street level is a lot outdated, the water installation, which must be for someone the second door, smells musty/moldy and it looks stagnate with moldy areas when you look up.
Room was a bit dusty and A/C was working well enough, but didn’t work very well. It did help when we had shut the windows all day tho. I didn’t give staff an opportunity to make it right, only told them it ran warm during checkout.

We’ve stayed in quite a few W hotels all over the world but this one unfortunately was by far the worst. We’ve always found the Marriott’s to be modern and very nice. However, we found this one old and dingy. The location is great but that’s about it. As soon as you get out the elevator to the room floors you can tell it needs a big renovation. It’s very old and has a musty smell. The rooms are not much better. Maybe we’ve just always been lucky with that W’s we stayed in previously but my family and I all agree that we’d never stay in the one again. We usually stay at the Marriott Marquis but thought this would be a nice change. We were wrong.
Hideous property with sketchy billing practices (spent multiple hours with multiple people and still no resolve) TWICE situations where my ambassador concierge had to step in. One was resolved as a “courtesy” and the other is still not resolved - waiting in a return call or email from the accounting department (multiple days we were charged multiple days we were charged multiple destination fees! And the base room rate changed from the original reservation quote. (In addition the previous week our flight was cancelled and I had Already checked in - as front desk said if I didnt Check in by midnight my reservation would be canceled - flight was canceled at 1am. . . So they said since I check In no changes could be made and they’d be charging me for the entire WEEK as penalty, not just one night. Totally tries to pull that over on me. Theres WAY too many hotel choices in Times Square to deal with this place (also - the passing from customer service to customer service) as an Ambassador highly disappointing !
The atmosphere, the decor in the room. The location
They don't have tap pay. So u have to carry your wallet
The location
It was dirty, very humid and moldy. Need upkeep and update
Terrible experience
Everything
The location is excellent! You have access to Times Square, Hell’s Kitchen and broadway. Plus, Central Park is only one mile away! The rooms are clean and check in was great. The staff is very helpful with tips regarding where to eat and what to do. The lobby bar is also a nice place to pregame or post game and Patrick our bartender was so helpful with places to see and do and very attentive.
I stayed at the W hotels on July 7 thru July 10. These hotel was so expensive and is not worth it. For 2 days we didn’t have internet or phone. The bathroom floors were dirty. I do not recommend it. They charge you $200 for miscellaneous then they don’t refund the money when you check out.
Stay away from this hotel!

great location and magnificent staff.
The staff paid great attention to detail. The lobby, restaurant, and bar staff were very nice and accommodating.
The view from my room was of the New York Marquis, not necessarily the "CITY VIEW" I thought I booked. The sinks were updated but not the toilets and showers.
Second time staying here and we will definitely return!
The ac had some glitches but the excellent customer service by the front desk and engineering dept made up for it.
Nice staff, comfortable beds, nice city view
Parking was terrible
Friendly staff, good location, nice accommodations
