L’emplacement était super !
La piscine est vraiment très agréable et bienvenue quand il fait très chaud
Il serait bien de rajouter des petits frigos dans les chambres pour garder l’eau au frais lorsqu’il fait très chaud
The building is historic and beautiful. Location is fantastic, easy walk to main square and museums etc and the friendly staff made our 4 now get stay feel extremely welcoming. The pool is a huge bonus after a hot day exploring the Mayan heritage sites.
No ability to make a cup of tea or coffee in the room.

Rooms need an upgrade
The main hotel was attractive, but unfortunately we weren't staying there - we were across the road and up a bit, right next to a yard where we could park for free.
The room smelt "musty", by which I mean that it hadn't been used recently. The apartment is in need of refurbishment - cracked tiles, mould in the bathroom, and small parts of the ceiling came on the first night, and when I mentioned this to the receptionist, he didn't seem bothered.
Gute Lage, schöner Innenhof
Gebuchte Zimmerkategorie existiert überhaupt nicht (10m2 weniger erhalten). Leider zeigte das Hotel vor Ort kein Entgegenkommen und hat den Fehler auf Booking geschoben, die sich freundlicherweise hier im Nachgang eingeschalten haben.
The staff at the hotel were very helpful and friendly. The scenery within the hotel grounds was very beautiful and calming. The room was quaint and clean. The area was very quiet and there is great coffee/restaurants nearby.
Some of the fixtures in the bathroom were old and needed attention (the tissue holder). It would be nice to be able to adjust the speed of the fan, it was faster than I would have prefered.

Booked a room with garden view, got a room with wrought iron bars facing a wall approx 2 1/2 feet outside the window, it was dark and gloomy.
The place is in dire need of renovation.
This was our second time staying at Fray Diego. We like being close to the main square and yet being in a very quiet garden space. The front desk staff was extremely helpful in giving us a room suited to my husband's mobility issues, and connecting us to an English-speaking doctor for a minor medical issue. The pool is good-sized, and the hammocks around the pool are very inviting. We liked having breakfast in the hotel, although it wasn't included in our room rate.
Water! Our cleaner brought 2 or 3 small bottles of water a day but most hotels provide a water station for refilling water bottles. Ecologically it bothers us to use small plastic bottles. Central water stations would seem to be more economical for the hotel as well as better for the environment.
