I recently stayed at Americas Best Value Inn in Seward, Nebraska, and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is in an excellent location, offering a peaceful and quiet atmosphere that made my stay very relaxing. One of the biggest conveniences was having a Walmart directly across the street, making it easy to pick up anything I needed during my visit. There is also a Mexican restaurant right next to the motel, which made dining both convenient and enjoyable.
The property was well maintained, and the surrounding environment was clean with fresh air, which added to the overall comfort of my stay. The combination of a convenient location, tranquil surroundings, and nearby amenities made this an excellent place to stay.
I would highly recommend Americas Best Value Inn in Seward to anyone looking for a comfortable, peaceful, and conveniently located hotel. I look forward to staying here again in the future.
Well, the sheets, bedding, toilet, sink, and shower were as clean as one could make them. I feel sorry for the cleaning staff because there is only so much you could do to make this look decent. The air conditioner did work well which was a plus. This property had availability for the Fourth of July in Seward Nebraska - and this is a big event.
The shower stall was old, discolored, and the linoleum in the bathroom was ripped. The sink was chipped., and there were slip slop repairs done with caulking. The breakfast is an absolute joke and I would not eat out of anything in that area. The cereal dispenser did not appear clean. The coffee maker did not appear clean . Has someone from the health department okayed this? If it wouldn’t have been 4th July in Seward, Nebraska, I would not have stayed here. Overall, this motel is a stain on a generally cute, well-maintained town.
Of specific concern was a possible safety issue in our room. Now we did not use the refrigerator or microwave nor did we have small children, but the photo of the refrigerator on the top shelf of an unsteady stand appears to be unsafe.
Additionally, the lock on the window to our room was not fully secure. You could easily yank it and open it and climb in. Further, there was an onion wrapped in tinfoil outside the window??? Although not unsafe, it’s just a bizarre. Someone from the city of Seward or elsewhere needs to inspect this property for safety. Pictures are below.
Hot water, good pressure in shower
Beds had thin mattresses. Bed frame was like a fold out bed so a person was hitting their toes on the legs. Half of the plug-installation did not work. Some of the lights did not work. The TV did not work. Finally one of the beds in a two bed room did not have a top sheet.
Not Handicap accessible!!! No juice for breakfast. The room was not clean, I had to ask for more toilet paper.
Everything
It was what we expected for what we paid. It was clean and we had no issues.
The front door was broken and taped up. The breakfast was very simple and hardly any coffee.
The bed was extremely comfortable!
1. When we arrived the door to the lobby was shattered like something from a crime scene and they said it had been that way for months.
2. I waited for 7-10 mins at the check in desk for someone to show up after ringing the Ring doorbell (only twice) to let them know a person was in the lobby.
3. When the staff member finally came to the front they were startled by my standing at the desk - as in they had no clue someone had come in and rung the ring doorbell twice.
4. They had no record of our reservation - I did have my reservation confirmation information all on hand at check in.
5. The room, although clean and appropriately furnished, was humorously being overrun by ladybugs!
6. The shower head mounting was no longer attached to the wall and water sprayed out the side of the unit over the toilet. But it wasn’t anything a washcloth over the pipe couldn’t fix!
7. NO one answered our in person attempts to talk to someone or even our first phone call to try and check out. When they did finally answer the phone and after letting them know we were trying to check out and had placed the door fobs on the front desk counter, they said “K?” and hung up.
nothing
smoke smell, dirty
Price and being pet friendly and the lady at the desk was excellent at getting my pets pet fees paid very understanding too as one is very elderly and this is probably the last road trip Saddie Sue will ever make 😀
Couldn't get anything on TV but I needed sleep more
It was not a great motel
It was dirty and smelled like cigarettes
It was dirty, smelled badly, the beds were hard, there was a roaches, bathroom paint was peeling, tub was nasty.
Location was about the best part.
Photos on the Internet, do not match with the actual rooms look like.
Rooms are rundown, old furniture, bad paint, no batteries in the smoke alarm…
The front desk staff/manager was nice.
Pubic hairs on the sheets, TV never worked, incorrect wifi directions posted throughout room, bad wifi once you were able to connect, lost all power to refrigerator/air conditioning... because one random switch controlled it all, but there was nothing posted to let you know this was the case, shady people that live in motel full-time, people sitting on the step right outside the building door smoking all hours of the day.
Raunchy run down
The staff
It was pretty unremarkable. I was better than camping out but I wouldn’t go again.
The mattress was too soft and for the first 3 hours we couldn’t stay because they didn’t turn the air on and it was over 90 plus degrees in the room.
