Wonderful! Will stay there on our next trip to Petoskey.
Pros:

Staff very friendly and helpful. Room very clean and hotel location was great! Nice pool area.

Cons:

The room climate felt a bit cold and slightly damp. It could have been from the air conditioner which seemed either too cold or too hot with no ideal middle temperature.

Room/hotel was clean but there was some construction going on to the right inside lobby(appeared to be dry wall work)

Cons:

Room was overpriced even considering it was prior to July 4 holiday. Requested best view of bay several months in advance, was surprised at check in, when the young lady at front desk acknowledged we were looking for the best view and then we told our room was on ground floor, so took elevator down (lobby is on 2nd floor) and found out the primary view was of the bay view strip mall that sits behind hotel......this should've been mentioned on website and the room shouldn't necessarily be considered "room with a view'", without mentioning the roof obstruction. Also, not a fan of the sliding barn door on bathroom which didn't close completely and definitely didn't allow for complete privacy. Coffee was good but didn't eat breakfast there, very poor choices, considering room rate. Next time, will return to Apple Tree Inn across the street (older rooms), but fantastic bay views.

A nice hotel, but our room was not cleaned as requested, and there was no explanation or apology
Pros:

Our room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was good although not exceptional.

Cons:

WE asked at the front desk to have our room cleaned after our first night. There was no "please clean the room" sign to hang on the door.
However the room was not cleaned. When we informed the front desk about this, they did not offer any apology or explanation.

Loved the Hampton Inn in Petoskey!!!!
Pros:

It was clean and cheery…the staff ( Jayden at the front desk) was wonderful and helpful. Loved the room and the breakfast was the best I have ever had in a hotel…. will definitely come back!

Would definitely love going back
Pros:

I liked how close it was to everything. Sam and Jacob were both so nice and very helpful throughout or whole stay. I’ve never in my life dealt with the nicest hotel staff as they were.

Cons:

How there’s smoking right outside the doors. Wish smokers could smoke in their car or away from the building. Hate breathing it in as I’m trying to walk into the hotel.

Would definitely stay here again
Pros:

Clean . Very nice artwork though out the property. Lobby was inviting. Staff was exceptional. Breakfast room was well kept and inviting. Staff kept it very clean. Nice views from the window.

Cons:

Hampton is really cutting back on amenities - tiny bar of soap in bathroom. Didn’t have any drinking glasses in the bathroom. (This was the case in another Hampton we recently stayed in also.) We went to the lobby to ask for some - which they willingly gave to us. They told us that cups by the coffee maker were also to be used in the bathroom.

Cons:

As usual Americano breakfasts are very poor. Sorry, can’t get used to it. I am used to much higher standards in European hotels.
