Thompson Central Park New York, by Hyatt

I have now stayed at the Thompson several times over the last 2 years. Each time, the service is as good or better than the last trip. The team (special shoutout to Vanessa) greets me as welcome returning guest, and as I walk through the doors, I get that "I'm home" feeling. Couldn't ask for more than that. Interesting that the title of my first review was titled "The Thompson Central Park...New York Digs. How true it's become

This hotel has such an amazing and relaxed atmosphere while giving you an upscale experience. It is beautifully decorated. Not only is the lobby/bar/restaurant lovely, the rooms are first class. I felt I was at a spa. Thank you!

My wife and I stay at the Thompson Central Park every time we come to NYC, which is three times a year. We have always appreciated the hospitality and friendliness of all the staff at the Thompson. They have gone out of their way to accomodate the requests that we make and handle that with care.

The rooms are very well maintained and the lobby and restaurant/bar area are always nice. The bar area is great when they have jazz to enjoy music before heading out to dinner.

The hotel is situated near the southern part of Central Park, and is close to all the midtown shopping/major subways which is very convenient.

We will be going there again in a few weeks and again in May and are looking forward to our stay.

Beautiful room with park view. Location adjacent to Central Park, perfect for early morning runs. Walking distance to so many attractions and adjacent to subway also. The third floor lounge provided great breakfast and evening snacks. The best value for mo eg that we found for this quality of hotel in such a central location.

We stayed in a suite and it was fantastic. Great size, very comfortable. The hotel and room were impeccably clean and quiet. The location was truly optimal. We will definitely stay here again!

The hotel is very clean and the rooms are modern and nicely decorated. The bed was comfortable. The location was good for walking to Times Square for me. I would stay here again.

Our stay at the Thompson Central Park New York exceeded our expectations in every way. The location is amazing—just three blocks from Central Park, five blocks from Times Square, and only a few blocks from Fifth Avenue, with three subway lines nearby, making it incredibly easy to explore the city. Having quick access to Central Park for morning runs, as well as Lifetime Fitness directly across the street, was a huge bonus.

We received a complimentary room upgrade, and the room was extremely spacious by NYC standards, with a great ambiance and excellent service throughout our stay. The internet was fast and reliable, and the staff was consistently helpful and attentive whenever we reached out.

While complimentary bottled water was provided in the room and could have been more plentiful, access to the lounge made it easy to get additional water. If possible, securing access to the higher floors is extremely beneficial, as the lounge access for water and breakfast in the morning makes a big difference when spending full days exploring the city. Even though we stayed on the 33rd floor, elevator service was efficient, and we never experienced long waits.

Overall, this hotel checked all the boxes we look for in a city stay—and then some. We would absolutely stay here again.

We had a great experience at the Thompson Hotel. The front desk and checkin/checkout where awesome and efficient. We enjoyed everything. They need to work out the breakfast situation though as the wait and frustration of guests is palpable. That would be my only comment on where this place fell short. Otherwise, a fantastic stay in a very nice hotel.

We had a fantastic stay at Thompson Central Park New York. The location, just steps from Central Park, is unbeatable and perfect for morning walks or exploring Midtown. For such a prime spot, it feels like a great value, especially with rooms that are spacious by New York standards.

We also loved hanging out at Parker’s. The cocktails were beautifully made, and the live music gave the evenings a relaxed, sophisticated vibe. It is a stylish, perfectly located hotel we would gladly return to.

We had an outstanding three nights stay at the Thompson Central Park. The service was over the top wonderful. Great food choices. Breakfast at the Parker is delicious, room service is very speedy/great, and that burger joint is a convenient and yummy spot. The hotel staff couldn’t have been kinder. The room was beautiful, quiet and spacious by NYC standards. The location is amazing. We were celebrating my son 16th birthday and they left such a sweet surprise for him in our room. Many thanks for making this stay so memorable.

The hotel was great! It was clean and the front desk staff was exceptionally nice. I would definitely stay here again. The room was much larger than expected and the bathroom was very clean.

I stayed here for President's Day weekend with my son for his 13th birthday. We had the King bed suite, and it was surprisingly pretty large. The service was great, but the hotel room decor was a little outdated and full of scuffs, scratches, etc. Also, the noise from the street level was pretty loud. All in all though, great location, and good staff, just needs some fixing up. Also, the ability to use Lifetime Fitness across the street for free as a guest was great.

Overall, a great experience at this lovely hotel in NYC. Excellent location—close to Central Park, Carnegie Hall, and Times Square, with lots of great restaurants nearby. The room was spacious, the slippers were super comfortable, and it was impressively quiet despite being in busy NYC. Highly recommend.

The staff were very friendly, the lobby joint burger was great, and being close to Central Park made it perfect for morning runs. TV screen mirroring was also a nice touch.

Wonderful stay again at Thompson Central Park. The hotel is very well managed. You can tell because of the consistent, wonderful service long all departments. We loved the location, high end toiletries, food and beverage options and comfortable beds. This is my 1st choice when visiting NYC and will be back soon!
