Subject: Formal Complaint: Unprofessional Conduct and Service Issues – [04-04.2026] 9 am.
To the Management Team,
I am writing to share my disappointment regarding our breakfast experience at your restaurant this morning at approximately 9:30 am.
While we understand that service can be busy, the treatment we received at the conclusion of our meal was unacceptable.
Our experience began with a lack of coordination at the buffet; despite being a self-service model, we waited over 20 minutes for coffee and eventually had to seek out assistance ourselves. However, our primary concern is the conduct of the server who handled our payment (a female staff member with light eyes and visible tattoos, short hair at the back and hair up on a ball.).
When it came time to pay the bill, I opted not to leave a gratuity, as we had served ourselves and cleared our own table.
Upon seeing this, the server’s demeanor became aggressive. She reacted by harshly throwing the pinpad onto the counter and making a loud, disparaging exclamation in front of my young son.
This display of hostility was deeply upsetting to my son. He was left feeling perturbed and confused, asking if he should expect to be sworn at or intimidated if he cannot afford a tip as a student. As a parent, it was distressing to see him marginalized and made to feel unwelcome over a voluntary gratuity.
We believe in paying for the services we receive, but we do not expect to be met with physical aggression or verbal outbursts for our choices. I hope you will look into this behavior with the staff member involved, if possible or give better training to your servers.
(It was a crowded breakfast service, the buffet does not have a good system, a bit overpriced as does not include beaverages. Staff at the buffet rushed and not able to serve cofee on a timeline manner. We had to go around chasing the cofee servers after of 20 minutes seating and waiting)
The hotel and all amenities were fantastic! Everything was as expected or better, and the price was a great deal!
Nothing at all. Everything was perfect!
Clean
Breakfast buffet was a little off. Fake eggs and gross sausage
room was clean and well appointed.
A microwave would be nice in the room or at least in a common area.
The location was excellent. Made walks so easy with young children. The staff has a good attitude and make you feel welcome.
Although the pool was very clean and well maintained. I feel like something can be added to warm up the spot. Felt like we were in a warehouse..adding some color can warm this area.
Stayed here for years, this was the first time I had to park off-site. About a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Was charged an extra $30 cad to park in a further away parking lot because insider remove my car early enough. $50 for parking and I stayed in the hotel for 12 hours.
Amazing location
The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly
I didn’t like that you have to pay extra to park onsite but then anyone can park there and sometimes you can’t find one spot to park
It was close to everything we wanted to do and the staff were very friendly . The hotel breakfast buffet had good variety and the pool was decent.
I think you could benefit from putting some more chairs in the pool area for parents to watch their kids. Most parents sat on the floor or stood which isn’t ideal when most kids swim for an hour. Elevator wait times were also long.
