The key card reader at the door broke, making it inconvenient for staff and guests to have frequently call to enter.
I like the kitchen and also we can borrow the utensils and the cookware set.
We were assigned a handicapped accessible room which was awkward for us as it did not provide a great deal of space. Bathroom was huge and cold as there were no heating vents in the room. We were also on the bottom floor near the exit, which we did not like. Pets and children were upstairs which I found to be a poor practice, as children were jumping, yelling and screaming and dogs barking. Pet friendly establishments should keep pets on the first floor so owners are able to get them outside easier and faster. Children should be on the lower floors as it is easier to evacuate them in the event of an emergency and they are not as disruptive to the rest of the patrons.
Thanks for everything
The staff at the Extended Dtsy was absolutely the best. I would stay again in a heartbeat!
I should’ve read the reviews prior, cleanliness was
subpar but we’re over looked it. No room cleaning unless requested so after two weeks they cleaned the room. The bathroom had black mold growing in it. All this would not have gotten me to write a review, the part that got me was the guy working nights ABOU had his security from the hotel assault us. Yes like a physical altercation after that we started receiving random calls at 1:30AM. when we answered they would hang up. When we would walk in he would make little snide comments.
Terrible
We were thrilled with this property because it allowed us to stay for 10 days without renting a car. The property is not super clean or well maintained, but it also is not horrible. For example, the bed was outstanding and everything we needed for the kitchen was provided. The dressers and surfaces felt clean, but the walls and carpet were not. THE STAFF THERE WAS GREAT. They were helpful - at all hours. And pleasant to interact with.
There was a huge aggressive unwelcoming Samoan lady who checked us in. A few days in a row. We would go to the lobby to get outside. And there was a huge band of Samoans just hanging out In the lobby. And we couldn’t have visitors. The carpet was dirty, we found other peoples things like a leg brace and glasses under the bed. Which means they didn’t completely clean. There was no heat to be had. There was fan but only blew cold air. So it was cold , cold.. the only good part of the experience was. When I left the hotel for the day.
Surrounded by homeless and tweakers. I won't be staying again.
Checked in after having problem finding a parking place. Room was ok with two double beds, TV, and small refrigerator. We did not use the shower. The beds and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast consisted of breakfast bars, prepackaged muffins, and coffee. Very slim pickings for the price they charged for the room. Hotel carpeting was rather worn and needed cleaning.
My spouse went to smoke a cigarette and she left her
Key in the room and she was removed from the premises and not allowed back on the property
It’s nice hotel with friendly staff. There was only one surprise that the breakfast was very limited: coffee, granola bars, muffins and instant oatmeal. However, the room has a small kitchenette and fridge with microwave. So, it’s not so bad.
The room was clean, the hotel inside was grungy and needs updated. Carpet needs replaced and fresh coat of paint as well as updating the lift operations. A better selection for breakfast for diners who have dietary needs other than carbs.
Parking is not great. Staff was satisfactory. Room was acceptable
I as was very impressed with this property. Being a hospitality manager and running a high level lodge here in Alaska, the found the stay here pleasant and relaxing. Convenient to walk places during daylight hours. The staff was very friendly and caring and looked out for my safety as someone tried to follow me in the hotel but I dodged the guy. They were very vigilant of their security camera screen and saw what was occuring. I felt well taken care of. They gave very wise advice regarding my traveling at night alone and so I listened. The assistant manager Carol was very personable and if I could steal her to work for me I would, but my work is seasonal so I’m sure that’s wouldn’t fly. You’re lucky to have her. Her standards are high and she’s very clear about policies and I liked that very much. I always have high expectations where I stay because I give that back to guests. So it was n ice gro experience that there. I Will definitely return and maybe see if some of my other staff can stay here pre season and post.
Floor was dirty, the thermostat didn’t work. The room continuously stayed at 75 degrees regardless of how the thermostat was set. Also, the sheets had stains on them. They were washed and clean, but not good enough.
The property was walking distance from restaurants downtown, however lots of homeless people in the area, some even sleeping by the hotel parking lot. “Breakfast” is just an assortment of breakfast bars. Toilet barely flushes, a/c unit is useless/ does not work in tandem with the thermostat.
You get what you pay for. I would stay here again or recommend for cheap lodging in the area. Hotel was clean and easily accessible, staff was friendly and helpful, we experienced no issues whatsoever. People complined about the breakfast which was coffee, granola bars and muffins, but it states on the website it is a " grab and go" breakfast. Not a hot continental breakfast, so we were aware of that. Showers were hot and the cabinets didn't have cookware or dishes in them but if you needed anything just ask the desk and they'll give you whatever you need for your kitchenette. There are 2 small parking lots and if you're not in for the day by 8-9:00 pm you'll have to park on the street in front ,which is metered parking, but as long as you've moved by 9am you won't get charged anything. I've seen some very negative reviews, but as I said you get what you pay for and can't expect 5 star accommodations for a 2 star price. They keep the front door locked and you need to use your keycard to get in which I liked as a safety precaution. I never felt "unsafe" here and would stay again if im back in tbe area.
I just liked the staff and the room was really nice I would stay there again.
