Lakeside Chalet - Mumbai, Marriott Executive Apartments

This hotel is run down . Everything needs immediate refurbishment. Dirty facilities. Rooms are big and spacious, but low water pipe pressure and if you re a squeamish person this will be a challenge. As a trip to India overall not for weak minded. It’s challenge for your body and soul . The gym is in nearby hotel , pool is unusable unless you dare swimming in waste . I suggest avoiding.

Me and Udit had a really great time here. The rooms were very spacious with all luxury amenities—it honestly felt like a mini apartment.

The food was amazing, and what stood out most was the warmth of the staff. Everyone greeted us with a smile and made us feel truly comfortable throughout the stay.

A special thanks to Durga for leading such a wonderful team. The ground staff, room service, and F&B team were all excellent—especially Chetan and Ashwath, who took great care of us. The farewell cheesecake was such a sweet and thoughtful gesture.

Highly recommended. Would love to visit again.

I got attracted by the name- "Lakeside Chalet", and booked 2 stays for my family and myself. Our 1st stay was for 2 nights (just my wife & myself) in a single bedroom apartment. We were allotted #816. We soon discovered that the flush wasn't working properly in the bathroom; plus, the in-room safe wouldn't register several digits, rendering it useless. Upon request, the hotel promptly switched us to #914, which didn't have any deficiencies & was a lot better- thank you!
I tried the breakfast buffet at Crimson the next morning- it was comprehensive & tasty.
Then my kids joined us, so we moved to a 2-bedroom apartment, #302. This was a 3-night stay. The 1st night was uneventful. But on the 2nd night, around 5 AM, my wife was horrified to see dirty brown water flowing out of the hot water faucet. The water from the cold water faucet was milky-white. They had no clue what it was due to. We had a wedding to attend in the morning, but we couldn't take a shower or even brush!! We had to wait a few hours until the dirty water flow tapered off by itself. The net effect was that we ended up missing the morning's wedding festivities as we were prevented from getting ready in a timely manner.

I noticed that the water in the toilet had a yellowish tinge all the time; initially I thought it wasn't getting flushed properly, but upon enquiry, i was told that they use reclaimed water for the toilets, and the yellow tint was "normal"! It was very unsettling.

Another annoying hassle was that there was simply no way to contact the front desk from the room; dialing 0 connected me to the Westin's board. I had to tell them what I wanted, & they in turn conveyed it to the Lakeside Chalet front desk. Such a convoluted setup caused much delay.

Upon checkout, I've always received the bill immediately. However, here I wasn't given a bill right away. 10 days later, when there still was no sign of a bill, I had to call the hotel and request them to give me my bill.

The Lakeside Chalet Executive Apartments by Marriott simply is *not* up to Marriott standards. The customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I personally would hesitate to visit again.

We had a wonderful stay. The view from the room was stunning...The hospitality and the ambiance was great, making for an excellent overall experience.

The place is also very pet-friendly, making it an ideal choice for those travelling with furry friends.

I have stayed at the Marriott Apartments a no. Of times over the years and every time, the staff has gone out of their way to take care of things.
During my stay with my family, the staff took amazing care and accommodated all our requests with a smile.
Special mention to their Manager Dipti, who was an excellent support through out.

We had never done a staycation at a serviced apartment property before. So, we decided to take a chance on Lakeside Chalet Marriot Service Apartments, Powai for my husband's birthday and we loved it. We chose the lake view option and it had a beautiful view of Powai lake. With a living room, a microwave, dishwasher, essential cutlery, a spacious bedroom, it felt like home away from home. The room service was prompt and good, housekeeping too was surprisingly fast. We used to go to Westin, which is on the same property for breakfast. Special thanks to Dipti from the front office who made us feel very welcome, gracefully allowed us to invite family over for dinner and organised a lovely cake for my husband for his birthday. After a long time (and we travel a lot), we were impressed by a front office staff member. We will definitely stay at this property again and recommend it to others,

Nice and cozy apartment, giving a feel of home. Well maintained suites, right in the middle of Mumbai. Nice restaurant serving good breakfast. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Overall a great feeling, very different from hotel rooms. Would definitely come back to stay again!

I’d like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the entire team at Marriott for their exceptional hospitality. A special shout-out to Dipti, who truly went above and beyond to make my daughter’s day! She ensured my daughter had everything she needed to prepare for her exam the next day, and the thoughtful good-luck note was such a lovely touch.

The personal care and warmth we received—especially from the Front Desk team—was beyond what we expected. Every interaction was filled with genuine kindness and well wishes for my daughter, which meant a lot to us.

The food was absolutely delightful, with so many choices that we were truly spoiled.

All in all, I felt like royalty, surrounded by such a wonderful team. Thank you once again for making our stay so memorable!

We had the most amazing long stay holiday at the chalet apartments .
The apartments itself was luxurious, with all the amenities of a 5 star Marriott standard .
All the staff were warm ,welcoming and always helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them .
Thanks to Dipti and rest of staff at the reception who were always to hand and very helpful indeed .
Security staff were always pleasant and helpful.
The breakfast and dinner at Crimson were exceptional and service was impeccable by all the staff.
The daily house keeping staff ,Durgesh and Poonam made sure rooms were clean and water bottles and toiletries stocked up daily.
The property is well maintained inside and outside with beautiful views of a exotic resort feel .
We celebrated our 55th wedding anniversary , and the staff surprised us with a cake and decorations which made our trip even more special .
Every Saturday we had a free high tea and outdoor cinema experience which was thoroughly enjoyable.
I highly recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a quiet ,luxurious peaceful stay in Mumbai next to the Westin Powai Hotel .

This is a 3/4 star hotel with Marriott name slapped on it. I stayed at two hotels which are technically both 5 stars: this Marriott and Meluha the Fern on the other side of pawai lake. The difference was shocking and the price is roughly the same. Marriotts area is bad and inconvenient, hotel rooms and facilities give very old/unclean vibes, and the rooms are much smaller. Elevator takes forever to come and stairs are straight up dirty and not maintained. Half of the facilities are not even in the building and you need to walk to a different hotel which lends its gym/swimming pool. Will never stay here again as long as Fern has availability.

I was not expecting quite a dated looking property. The location and outside space were great. Howbever The cleanliness was not good at all and that’s a big priority for me. We had to ask staff to sweep the room when we arrived. Also the kitchen facilities and knives were also not very clean or decent. I struggled to brush my teeth after discovering the filth under the sink. I will never stay here again and will definitely pay more for a cleaner place.

A wonderful stay to begin with. There was some construction underway during our stay, hence a bit loud. The pool closes early, so no late night relaxation possible. Apart from these foibles, it was very satisfactory. Great staff and breakfast is amazing.

I wanted to thank all the support team at the entrance and front desk. We had a great time with my family and spent two nights happily.

For us coming to Mumbai, the Lakeside Chalet is our preferred place to stay. We had a spacious two bedroom apartment on the 5th floor for us and for my parents in law another one bedroom apartment just next door. The apartment was clean and had all we needed. The laundromat is one major advantage for us, especially travelling with three kids where you get lots of dirty laundry. We stayed for 16 nights and my kids enjoyed the facilities (pools, the kids play room, table tennis etc.) - they found new friends there as well. We also connected to a few of the long stay residents and it just became a home away from home for us.

I was there for business. The location is about 20 minutes from the next train station and about the same distance from the next metro station (but a new metro line will open soon which won't be that far away anymore). It is a quiet place, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. A good place to return and relax a bit after a long day at work.

What makes a big difference at a hotel is the staff. Besides doing their job, they really went out of their way to make us feel home in Mumbai. To some of them we had a closer connection and consider them as friends. We look forward to coming back, not only to enjoy the hotel facilities, but also to see a few of our friends again.

Just to give a small example: When we came last year, they had a dessert on the menu which we really loved and that was not available anymore when we came this year. But we loved it and especially when bringing my mother in law from Germany, I wanted to have her try this dessert, because I knew she would love it. Chef Ravi was our hero and made it possible.
Also when I had stomach problems, he created a special meal for me which was not on the menu, but it was delicous on the one hand AND also helped with my stomach.
It would be a long list to mention everyone, but to name a few more: Nishant, Dinanath, Ankita, Vikrant, Joel, Lionel, the guys from houskeeping and at the reception etc...

It's a great team and we are really looking forward to coming back. I plan to come back within the next two months, but we as a family are also looking forward to spending time at the Lakeside Chalet again in the near future.

I was upset at beginning with so many complains but they were very quick to resolve everything. I am impressed with their quick response. Kudos to the team. I had written a long review of all problems I had faced but their team was very quick on fixing everything and calling to apologize for the experience. I am happy to see such a turnover and making it a wonderful stay for their guest

MEA Powai has truly lived up to its second home tag line. There are several places to stay in Mumbai but we prefer to stay here because of excellent home like service and facilities. The rooms have all the amenities for extended family stays with kids playing area where the little ones can have fun in a safe environment. The staff go out of their way to help. Especial shout out to Devendra and Shirish under the able guidance of Lionel and Nishant for making our stay comfortable. Thanks to this team and their service.
