Cons:

Noisy staff always running around the corridors. But they did not bother to clean our room. It was expensive for the money we payed, far from the center of Carmel..

All together we did not have a good experience. We would not stay there again in the future.
Pros:

Nice area but a bit noisy because of the closeness of highway 1. Landscaping and the outside sitting area with the fire pits look nice.

Cons:

The room doors are closing very noisily. They get slammed by the door closers too hard. It is very disturbing especially at night when the guests would like to sleep. I recommend adjusting the door closers.
The bed was comfortable but the blanket was very thin, old looking, not modern and stylish at all.
We made the room reservation about a month earlier and asked for first floor room because of my wife has walking/knee problems. We were promised that the hotel will do the best they can. Instead we were placed to a room on the third floor not even close to the elevator.

Our family will be visiting Carmel Mission Inn again!
Pros:

The Shearwater staff was amazing and very accommodating. The ease to book to the room was convenient as well.

Cons:

There weren't any bellhop carts, or communication on how to obtain one, so multiple trips to load and unload was rough. Also parking was kind of limited if you were coming back to the hotel after 8p.

Our room shower was out of body soap, one thing for sure should be accessible for a beach stay is a nice shower after.

Staff was friendly, room was clean and comfortable.
Pros:

Came for a wedding and enjoyed the area. Rooms were rather nice. Staff was very friendly

Cons:

Closet housed fridge and coffee maker so it was hard to use.

Nice hotel, be prepared for your room to not be cleaned if you are still in your room at 9am
Pros:

It was a nice more modernized property. We didn’t really enjoy the facilities because our schedule was busy and we got tired

Cons:

They come to clean the room at 9 am. We were still getting ready for our day and asked if they could come back and no one ever did. This happened every day we were there so our room was never cleaned.

Perfect hotel for the price!
Pros:

Great location! Super affordable. Shopping center across the street. Less than ten minutes drive from the main area in Carmel-by-the-sea and 15-20 minutes to Monterrey. Would 100% stay here again.

Great casual and California beach vibes stay with great restaurants walking distance.
Pros:

Overall the location and hotel experience was great. If you are looking for a more casual Carmel experience, away from the tourist overpriced secene of Carmel by the Sea, this is for you. There are great restaurants walking vicinity.

Cons:

We were excited about being on the third floor, but the view was the roof and highway. Ask for the other side of hotel, away from the highway.

Great Value, location and service!!
Pros:

Mike was amazing, very accommodating for our group. Room was cozy, clean and in a great location. Highly recommend. We were able to walk around downtown from our hotel. If after dark bring a flashlight, the roads are uneven and difficult to navigate after wine tasting 😂
