Mixed feelings
Pros:

Good location, retro exterior with more modernized interiors.

Cons:

I prepaid for my stay months ahead via booking.com. However, upon my check-in I was charged for my entire booking plus security deposit, well over $1,000. It took me an hour to figure out what had happened after calling my bank and the front desk. The woman who checked me in seemed pretty indifferent and nonchalant. Not to mention this was the evening before my Birthday. This caused a lot of anxiety and financial stress. I still have yet to see the money return to my account and check out is in a couple hours.

Very nice stay! Great location!

The room we were assigned was near the elevator which kind of kept scaring the dog with multiple people passing by.

Pros:

Really fun having all those shops there you can walk to especially the French bakery and coffee shop!!!

Cons:

There’s no way to walk to Carmel by the sea as there are no footpaths, but it’s not far.

It was wonderful
Pros:

Great location . Great vibe . Great room . Great Tavern on site . Food was bomb like for real . But not blue collar prices . I mean yeah I’d be stoked to spend less money for all this but it was pricey but I’d say more worth it than not worth it. Sometimes it’s hard to fine reliable . Clean . And nice happy employees . The Carmel mission inn delivers

Keeping on our list of hotels to come back to!
Pros:

The lobby was immaculate, the check in was quick, the staff was very friendly, and the room was beautiful, large and comfortable. Unfortunately, We didn’t have time to try the heated pool or hot tub.

Cons:

There was an unknown spot of dried liquid on the wooden floor between the beds. The shower pressure was weak for our liking. Should be fixed right away is the path in front of the first level floor - the loud rattling noise of the towel caddy and other guests’ luggage woke us up several times. Skip the coffee in the lobby - there is a Starbucks across the street 😂

The heated swomming pool and the green hotel area.

Cons:

Water issues in the room.
There is not enough light in the room.
The got tube water was not hot enough.
The fitness center area is so small - it was full in the morning.
The breakfast is not included and is served by a separate organization.
There are not enough spots for parking.

We might consider another place next time.
Pros:

Nicely laid out property with nice landscaping and modern clean rooms.

Cons:

Paying EXTRA to park the car and "resort charge" to use the pool and recreation room (which we did not). I understand this is the growing trend especially in major cities to charge this fee but it becomes ridiculous when this hotel was south of town with plenty of parking surrounded by open space and plenty of hiking and biking trails. It really feels sleazy.

Pros:

There was no breakfast. There were restaurants close by. The menu at the hotel was very pricey
at least offer your customers a cup of coffee in the morning

Cons:

I thought it was pricey. I don’t think I would book it again.
I had to go down to the first floor to get ice. I thought this was inconvenient.
