The location is very convenient and the rooms were very spacious. It was modern enough for a beach town.

Cons:

Please upgrade your windows, blinds and soundproofing. You can hear every door that slams inside the hotel. You can hear everything that’s happening in the parking lot. And there’s a crack between the auto blinds that lets a slice of sun in the morning. Also could upgrade to better pillows.

The location was excellent. It was close to everything with easy access to the main roads, making it very convenient to explore Carmel and the surrounding area. The staff was friendly, and parking was easy.

Cons:

The biggest issue was the terrible sewer smell in both the bathroom and the room, especially after taking a shower. The odor was so strong that it actually made us feel nauseous. The furniture is very outdated and clearly overdue for replacement. The mattress was by far the worst part of our stay - it was extremely cheap and uncomfortable, honestly one of the worst mattresses I’ve ever slept on. Considering the price, the room was very disappointing.

The location of the facility is very good, right by route 1.

Cons:

The room was supposed to be deluxe but there was nothing deluxe about it: furniture, bedding, TV. TV was old, did not offered good selection or options, like sports channels. We could not see the world cup or Wimbledon.
The beddings: uncomfortable pillows, rough sheets and towels. The room is carpeted and it was not vacuum properly before we came in.
Also they do not clean or straight up your room or bathroom everyday. ( when they did there were still hairs on the pillows and sheets and also on the bathtub. We special request (after showing front desk photos of the room) having the room service and they did everything except vacuuming (how come?)
Very disappointed.

Pros:

Stayed here for a night and the location was great. The room was spacious and the lighting inside was quite cozy.

Cons:

Front desk workers could be more informative when checking in a guest. Instead of simply saying “tap here,” they should clarify what we are paying, including accommodation, tax, and a deposit amount. It would be helpful if they also mentioned the total amount.

Clean, consistent, decent value, and great if you have a pet.
Pros:

It's a pretty consistent well located place. We've stayed there many times and it's usually the best value if you have a pet you're traveling with.

Cons:

There were a lot of extra fees that were beyond what was quoted through Booking.com for resort fees, parking fees, etc. that usually aren't charged when we stayed there even a few months back, but perhaps because it was a holiday weekend, they added these additional charges.

Cons:

Das Zimmer war sehr dunkel und der Fenstermechanismus war defekt, sodass sich das Fenster nicht richtig öffnen ließ. Bereits beim Check-in baten wir um ein anderes Zimmer und boten sogar an, einen Aufpreis zu zahlen. Uns wurde jedoch mitgeteilt, dass keine Alternative verfügbar sei, obwohl über Booking.com weiterhin andere Zimmer buchbar waren. Auch unsere täglichen Nachfragen blieben erfolglos.

Zudem war der Duschabfluss verstopft und wurde erst nach längerer Wartezeit repariert. An einem Tag wurde das Zimmer überhaupt nicht gereinigt und es wurden keine frischen Handtücher bereitgestellt. Diese mussten wir erst anfordern und anschließend erneut längere Zeit darauf warten.

Auf unsere Reklamationen wurde nur unzureichend reagiert. Insgesamt entsprachen sowohl der Zustand des Zimmers als auch der Service nicht dem Preisniveau. Aus unserer Sicht stimmt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht.

Mixed feelings
Pros:

Good location, retro exterior with more modernized interiors.

Cons:

I prepaid for my stay months ahead via booking.com. However, upon my check-in I was charged for my entire booking plus security deposit, well over $1,000. It took me an hour to figure out what had happened after calling my bank and the front desk. The woman who checked me in seemed pretty indifferent and nonchalant. Not to mention this was the evening before my Birthday. This caused a lot of anxiety and financial stress. I still have yet to see the money return to my account and check out is in a couple hours.
