It was a good are to investigate Monterey/Pacific Grice for your first time.

Cons:

When we got in the room it was very warm. I didn’t realize there was not air conditioning! Luckily, we were able to open the windows, and the few days we were there it was cool outside. But, we didn’t like having to open the windows to cool down the room. Who knows what could have flown in.
Also, we were there on a weekend, and the bar across the street was very noisy at night. People hanging out on the sidewalk. So, we had to close the windows just so we didn’t hear all the noise.

Pros:

Stanze molto grandi e accoglienti. Vista su Cannery Rw e oceano molto suggestiva così come l’ampio balcone. Struttura generalmente pulita e con ottimi servizi (colazione in camera e parcheggio a pagamento).

Cons:

Unica pecca camino a gas acceso che ci ha costretti a dormire con la finestra aperta. Per noi italiani il gas in stanza non è mai una buona cosa

I paid a premium for subpar service and not so great hotel.
Pros:

Location. Convenient to shopping and restaurants.

Cons:

Smell of scents trying to cover up oders. It stunk. I walked in and girl behind desk looked up and back down. I stood there a solid 4 minutes until her phone rang and she picked it up answering their questions. After she hung up she asked if she could help me. I don’t understand why you would not help someone standing right in front of you??

Pros:

The staffs are very nice. Great location.

Cons:

Super noisy. Bad soundproofing. The neighbors from upstairs walked in the room for hours from 2 am, I could not sleep at all.

A warm and central, if not luxurious, option
Pros:

The staff in this hotel is really excellent—warm and welcoming and friendly. And the system of bringing Continental breakfast to your room is great, once you understand that you can order fruit and eggs and pastries and yoghurt. The beach behind the hotel is tiny, and often filled with water, and the hotel can be noisy, a small place on a noisy and busy main street. But this is a charming, sweet place with good service and a very central location, if you’re visiting the Aquarium.

Good location excellent staff locally owned charming hotel
Pros:

A great location, but extremely noisy if you are in a room facing the street. Especially since it was the beginning of car week.

Cons:

The noise was horrendous and although there is a private security service that could’ve stopped some of it it was extremely late at night between 11 PM and 2 AM. They really need to do something about this.
