I do not eat meat and eggs. There was very less options for vegetarians. Just fruit. They should include a few more variety or get the guest's preference beforehand.

Customers service . We booked our room through booking.com with suite/ sofa bed . Arriving there they said they are fully booked and we have only 1 room available and no sofa bed and I need to call booking .com. So they said they can’t help me and I was worried where to take my kids . So when I called booking .com customer service they were very helpful and talked to the receptionist at Monterey bay Inn . They apologized to me and my room was ready with sofa bed . I didn’t understand I paid for suite but they were giving me standard room and they were fully booked and suddenly after the call my room was available.

Die Lage direkt am Wasser ist sehr schön. Die Otter und Robben sieht und hört man mitunter vom Balkon aus. Das Zimmer war sauber.

Cons:

Der Preis rechtfertigt sich im Grunde durch die Lage. Die Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig. Insbesondere von oben hört man jeden Schritt. Insgesamt sind die Zimmer eher dunkel. Das Frühstück ist zwar inkludiert, allerdings sehr einfach gehalten (etwas Obst, 1 hartgekochtes Ei + eine süße Backware).

A special place
Pros:

If you love watching marine life, you will love a sea view room at this hotel. We found the hardest thing, was leaving the balcony to explore the area! Loved watching sea otters, sea lions and so much bird life from the balcony- a gorgeous sea view across to the coastline.
You can sleep with the patio doors open (if you enjoy the sound of the sea) or close them and all is quiet.
Our room was super clean and charming.
Staff were all friendly, very helpful and the breakfast delivered to the room was gorgeous- what a treat!!
Would definitely hope to stay here if visiting again.
Thank you Team Monterey Bay Inn for making our 40th anniversary extra special- enjoyed the bottle of rose fizz!
