Hotel Pacific

The location was good with a decent breakfast. Had a hot tub. Was there during a lot of rain. It would be better in nicer weather. Hard as you had to walk outside under no cover to get around. Had heard good things about place, but appeared mgmt changed.

I had no WiFi during my entire four-day work trip. The front desk claimed a technician had been requested (a recurring excuse, as noted in other reviews), but the issue was never resolved, leaving me without internet access for the duration of my stay. I also observed other guests in the lobby having difficulty connecting their devices, so this is not an isolated issue or a matter of room location or proximity to the router.

While my room was spacious and generally well-equipped, it was directly accessible from the main road. The patio gate lacked a lock, and the door lock did not appear secure, leaving me uncomfortable and concerned about safety.

We’ve stayed here before several times and I noticed some nice improvements. Our room had a nice deck overlooking a courtyard with fountain. The furnishings were refreshed, new carpet, wood flooring polished. The breakfast was better than expected - eggs, breakfast meats, tasty muffins, and the usual other accompaniments. The hot tub was working and we got lucky to be the only ones using it at the time on a busy weekend. It wasn’t noisy, with only a few occasional jets flying overhead (Monterey airport). Easy walking distance to everything. My only minor complaint was the shower had a strange odor, but we just kept the fan running. Overall, a nice stay, good value, and we will return.

Solid 2 star hotel. Rooms are large and do have a fireplace and it appears the bathrooms were likely updated in the last 10 years, or so. The property itself is ready for a major rehab and has fallen into disrepair. Other reviewers have mentioned the noise and it is noisy but that didn't bother me. There is no daily housekeeping unless specifically requested. Breakfast is nothing like they show in the photos. Fresh fruit is limited to oranges, apples and bananas. One kind of yogurt, sliced bread and breakfast burritos. The last day of my stay they had run out of black tea.

It feels like the hotel is running on empty and they supply the cheapest possible amenities and offer absolutely no services. As reported in other reviews, the WiFi is sketchy and completely unreliable and as a result, mostly non existent. Totally unacceptable.

I can't imagine a scenario where I would stay at this property again.

Hermoso el hotel, la habitación grande, cómoda, muy bien decorada y equipada, los patios españoles hermosos.Muy bien ubicado.

Fireplace

La chimenea dentro de la habitacion es un plus, las suites son grandes con todo lo necesario para una estancia comoda, y los baños tienen ducha y bañera

Our room was very clean and comfortable. It had the feel of a cute beach cottage. Property is very close to beach, super friendly staff, easy check in/out.

Shower head was a handheld (why don't all hotels have these?!), pressure was fantastic and the shower height seemed higher than standard, so yay for the tall folks =D. All shower essentials were provided. Plenty of counter space.

Coffee maker, coffee, tea and sweeteners were in a little "kitchen" area where there was a table for 2, a microwave, refrigerator and sink. It appeared that there were a couple of plates in the cabinet too.

The fireplace worked wonderfully to take the chill off the air, although we did have to ask for matches - fair enough. The sitting area in front of the fireplace was cozy and cute. We had a small semi-private patio area out back as well. During the day, the windows let in a decent amount of light.

We had to leave before we could try the breakfast, so no comment on that.
