Good location
The girl at the front desk didn't have a clue about the hotel
Great area and room was clean and nice
parking was crazy small/tight spots and not enough parking it seemed we had to wait for someone to leave and it was 3 in the afternoon
La camera era comoda
Una colazione orrenda
Ascensore rotto
Perfect walk to everything
Room was overly hot, there was a lot of ants in the bathroom, check in of room was 30 mins late.
Very average.
One elevator did not work.
We received non-functioning keys to the room.
Excellent location. Easily walkable to the pier and many other restaurants and attractions. The room was very cozy and clean, providing a private outdoor seating area. The outdoor hot tub was secluded and spacious.
Parking at the facility was a little difficult in a large SUV. They did have more spacious parking on the left side of the garage which we later figured out. I wish it would have been clearly marked as the right side was very tight and hard to get our SUV turned around.
Location
Front desk staff ( poor customer service)
I like the friendly staff and how close it is to the beach.
The water had almost like a sewer smell to it when you would turn the sink water on. Also the beds are a little hard
The location was good with a decent breakfast. Had a hot tub. Was there during a lot of rain. It would be better in nicer weather. Hard as you had to walk outside under no cover to get around. Had heard good things about place, but appeared mgmt changed.
Customer service was lacking. The person at the front desk for most of the days had no personality. Hard to get information from. We found ants in the room because of the rain. When we called to get help nobody would answer the phone. Finally had to call on the 800 reservation number for someone to respond. I reported about the ants. I also asked for more hangers. I can’t remember but there were other items. Also the ph messg lite came on on the middle of nite and reported that too, as we couldn’t turn off. Someone was supposed to come to deal with these things and never did over the course of our stay. I also asked in the pouring rain how to get to breakfast room. It was much closer to my room. Instead, the person in the front desk told me a long way to go around in the rain to get there. The place itself was nice. Unfortunately the customer service was terrible.
I had no WiFi during my entire four-day work trip. The front desk claimed a technician had been requested (a recurring excuse, as noted in other reviews), but the issue was never resolved, leaving me without internet access for the duration of my stay. I also observed other guests in the lobby having difficulty connecting their devices, so this is not an isolated issue or a matter of room location or proximity to the router.
While my room was spacious and generally well-equipped, it was directly accessible from the main road. The patio gate lacked a lock, and the door lock did not appear secure, leaving me uncomfortable and concerned about safety.
We’ve stayed here before several times and I noticed some nice improvements. Our room had a nice deck overlooking a courtyard with fountain. The furnishings were refreshed, new carpet, wood flooring polished. The breakfast was better than expected - eggs, breakfast meats, tasty muffins, and the usual other accompaniments. The hot tub was working and we got lucky to be the only ones using it at the time on a busy weekend. It wasn’t noisy, with only a few occasional jets flying overhead (Monterey airport). Easy walking distance to everything. My only minor complaint was the shower had a strange odor, but we just kept the fan running. Overall, a nice stay, good value, and we will return.
Solid 2 star hotel. Rooms are large and do have a fireplace and it appears the bathrooms were likely updated in the last 10 years, or so. The property itself is ready for a major rehab and has fallen into disrepair. Other reviewers have mentioned the noise and it is noisy but that didn't bother me. There is no daily housekeeping unless specifically requested. Breakfast is nothing like they show in the photos. Fresh fruit is limited to oranges, apples and bananas. One kind of yogurt, sliced bread and breakfast burritos. The last day of my stay they had run out of black tea.
It feels like the hotel is running on empty and they supply the cheapest possible amenities and offer absolutely no services. As reported in other reviews, the WiFi is sketchy and completely unreliable and as a result, mostly non existent. Totally unacceptable.
I can't imagine a scenario where I would stay at this property again.
