Pros:

I liked the location and the concierge were very helpful. The lighting in the rooms was great, i always find that other hotels in New York have very poor lighting.

Cons:

There was no kettle in the room and had to boil water in a saucepan. Our room was at the end of the corridor, there was no heating in the bathroom and the water was not very hot, the bath was cast iron so when the water hit the cast iron bath it cooled the water down thus making a cold bath. The temperature in New York was exceptionally cold and we had not way of warming ourselves up in a hot bath. Another family member stayed in a room that was not at the end of the building and did not have this problem.

Roomy accommodation at a reasonable price. It was very clean and the climate control was excellent.

Good but overall disappointed that it
Pros:

The location was great - easily walkable to Rockefeller centre and similar in 20 minutes or so. Encouraged us to head further uptown too. Subway stop less than a block away for when we were going further afield. Suites were a good
size which is a rarity in NYC

Cons:

I was disappointed in the standard of decor - it felt quite a bit short of what was displayed on the website. Suites were nowhere near as plush - more basic and a bit tired in places.

Comfortable and even better than expected!
Pros:

Loved the location. It felt safe and like a neighborhood and was quieter than a lot of other parts of the city. Also, much cleaner and well maintained. The rooms were big. A full kitchen was a bonus, and the extra make-up space was nice for getting ready in the morning with 5 people. Also, there were hooks, a small drop-zone bench and lots of storage. It was well thought out in the design for having a family be able to stay together in New York without having to get 2 rooms.
