Very friendly staff, especially Shane. Clean room and good shower for a historic landmark style hotel. Live music each night on the patio which is a nice touch. Spacious lobby, but very small bar.
Breakfast choices are good; service takes a bit of time so don't expect to get in and out quickly. Food is over-priced but the quality is good. If you just want a cup of coffee in the morning, there isn't a free set up in the lobby, so you'll pay $6 at the coffee bar they have available. Location is downtown and a block from the courthouse, but you'll be walking back up hill which could be a challenge for anyone that struggles with getting around. The St. Michael's is in a better location for Shops and Whiskey Row, however they don't have a lot of rooms with two queen/double beds, so it's more favorable to couples. The Bistro at the St. Michael's has better food and at a lower cost. I've stayed at both hotels' multiple times over a 30 year span.
The location is amazing - one block from courthouse square/Whiskey Row - and the rooms are comfortable and have modern amenities while retaining their historic character. The staff and service truly are exceptional, and unique in my experience in a property that is such good value for money. The property has free parking, a restaurant and breakfast room on site, and will assist you with just about anything should you need it!
The layout of our room (King suite) this time around was smaller/less comfortable than on a previous visit - the door led into the bedroom rather than the sitting room, and the bathroom was *tiny* and not accessible without disturbing the occupant of the bedroom at night. However, the convenience of being on the "ground floor" (up six steps) made up for it. The sofa bed was *extremely* difficult to pull out, and was a two person job both to open and close.
Room and vintage decor ..restaurant and bar on site! Good location
Bathroom could use some deep cleaning and I know it's an Historical Building but it smells that way too
How stuffy and stale it smelled
Great room, location and vibe
Parking a little tricky
Nice staff and coffee counter in lobby. Comfy room. We stayed an extra night bc it was so nice.
Good food in restaurant.
All good
Every thing was great.
Had to call an attendant to use the elevator because it is original to the historic building.
Tout vraiment tout
Rien
We travelled first week of May 2026 to visit my mom. The hotel is located downtown Prescott, AZ and is very beautiful. We had a room on the 2nd floor (Main floor) so we didn't have to use the elevator. Our room was a Deluxe Room, 1 King Bed. The room was large enough for our needs. The staff told us that since we were on the main floor, if the noise got too loud, we could close the hallway door, but we never had too. We never had an issue with the noise level. The bed mattress was comfortable, but the pillows were all medium loft/firm, and I prefer a soft low-loft pillow that flattens. The TV was smaller than what you might find in a newer hotel, but it was adequate. The bathtub shower was nice in that there are separate hot/cold faucet handles so the temperature was easy to control. The sink though was the one item that was a problem for us. It is located directly between 2 walls so there was hardly any room for my wife to get ready each day. The sink has no surrounding countertop and there is no shelving directly above sink to put makeup or curling iron, etc.
The on-site restaurant, The Peacock Room, was very nice and has wonderful food. For breakfast I had the Skillet Bowl which was nice and the next morning had the Lemon Soufflé Pancakes which were fabulous. The pancakes were very light and very tasty.
The best part of our stay at the hotel was the fabulous service. All of the staff were very nice and helpful. Ten minutes after checking in, we received a call from the front desk to ask if everything was OK with our room. We were always greeted when leaving or arriving in the lobby.
Beautiful historic hotel located downtown Prescott where all the fun is near by Whiskey Row yet far enough away that the hotel is quiet. Our room was very comfortable, clean, very quiet with nice amenities. Be sure to call the hotel directly. Don’t be miss led by sites pretending to be the hotel. This happened to me and it was our first time visiting this hotel. I called the hotel to confirm the reservation and was lucky enough to get Shane at the front desk. That is when I realized that where I made the reservation wasn’t really the hotel, but Shane cleared everything up for me.Made sure I got the room that I wanted and went above and beyond. When we arrived, we were helped to our fourth floor room with all of our luggage. We enjoyed a Mother’s Day brunch at the Peacock room, which had delicious food and amazing service. Highly recommend this hotel. If you’re going to be visiting Prescott be sure to call the hotel directly in the evenings and ask for Shane. He’ll take great care of you.
The location is perfect; you feel like you've stepped back in time. I love the decor throughout the hotel.
For the price, it could include breakfast. I think breakfast included would be a great addition to this hotel.
I liked the fact that it was close to activities in town (whiskey row) and within walking distance. The building had a lot of character.
The price was not great for the accommodations and small room. Since the building was old, there were some smells in certain areas that were not pleasant.
