Very friendly and helpful staff, but…..
Pros:

Every member of staff we met were very friendly and helpful, they were a credit to the hotel.
The bed was very comfortable.
The room was warm.

Cons:

The shower had cracked and loose tiles in the shower tray.
Each morning there was standing water on the window ledge- there’s clearly an issue with ventilation which explains the smell of damp in the room.

C’est agréable le lieu est un peu loin du quartier touristique mais le quartier est sympa

Cons:

Pas vraiment clean : on a trouvé des choses sous le lit, comme un vieux bigoudi. La chasse d’eau était compliquée. Il y a un espace entre la baignoire et le pare-douche, donc il y a de l’eau partout après la douche.
Le petit déjeuner n’a rien d’exceptionnel et, je ne sais pas si cela arrive régulièrement, mais sur deux petits déjeuners, un jour nous n’avions rien de chaud car il n’y avait pas de cuisinier.
C’était agréable dans l’ensemble, mais au vu des avis que j’avais vus, j’ai été un peu déçu.

Great location, but disappointing facilities
Pros:

The location of this hotel was excellent; a short bus ride away from the centre of Edinburgh, and also on the tram and trainline. The staff were also accommodating as well - when we had issues, they did try to address them and were apologetic. The cooked breakfast was also good, quick and easy to organise and access.

Cons:

We had real problems with our bathroom; the shower barely functioned (inconsistent water pressure and also temperature). One of the handles of the bath's hot water fell off immediately, and the bath plug was also broken. Although they did get maintenance to come to fix the handle, the plug problem wasn't addressed and staff consistently delayed our switching of rooms, to the point where we gave up asking for it.

The pillows were very poor, and housekeeping didn't come on one of the days. We were out for the entire morning and came back for half an hour in the mid-afternoon, and that meant our room wasn't cleaned.

Centralt beliggende

Cons:

Der stod en stor generator/udsuger nedenfor vinduerne, som stod og kørte 24/7. Det var ikke til at holde ud at høre på.
Vi sov der i 3 nætter og havde betalt for morgenmad og den ene morgen var kokken syg, så der var kun tørt brød og en yoghurt, samt lunken the.
Vi prøvede en aften at spise på hotellet og der fik vi absolut ikke noget for vores penge. Helt til grin.

Evitare camere vicine alle porte di sicurezza (Fire Doors)
Pros:

Buona posizione vicino alla linea del tram, comoda sia per l'aeroporto che per il centro. Anche vicino a Haymarket stazione dei treni. Facile andare in centro anche a piedi. Ristoranti buoni in zona, non troppo turistici.

Cons:

Camera decisamente piccola ma funzionale. Avevamo chiesto una camera silenziosa invece la nostra (403) era vicinissima alle porte di sicurezza (Fire Doors) tra corridoio e ascensore/scale che si chiudevano molto rumorosamente ogni volta che qualcuno passava. Il rumore disturbava parecchio.
