Drinks very expensive as was the margherita pizza we had
Lovely big room and on suite
No air con room was unbearable
Location
No decent outside seating area . The topiary was the only outside area and was more an extension of the bar with previous nights dirty glasses and ash trays still on tables at 20.30 in the morning. Room was very hot and no air con so needed to be outside . Apart from the bar rest of it felt rather tired
I had a steak meal priced at £35 that looked like a Wetherspoons meal deal and I got the wrong chips, and on check out I was charged a £5 tip for the staff..!!
We paid for a deluxe king room. The room was a decent size but aged, lots of chips and scuffs and shoddy wardrobe. No a/c - just a terrible ceiling fan which did nothing. As it was very hot a cheap table fan was provided, which didn’t do much either. The ventilation in the bathroom wasn’t so no ventilation there either. Breakfast was very poor. Eggs like rubber bouncing balls, everything stodgy. Ordered scrambled ages that were under cooked and swimming in oil. Ordered a bottle of wine in the evening and it was served warm (from the ‘cellar’) and staff said it’s ok as they’d put it in an ice bucket. They were good about it when I suggested it should be served cold then kept cold by the ice bucket. Turns out that any wine they had which you ordered by the bottle (rather than the class) wasn’t chilled. We didn’t use the pool etc so can’t comment but we wouldn’t turn.
Lovely hotel, pool and leisure centre staff were very helpful. Bar staff very friendly and good food.
Air conditioning in room didn’t work and when asked for it to be looked at, manager told us it was working, not ideal in the middle of a heat wave and with a 10 month old. Seems we weren’t the only people with the same issue as other complaining upon checkout. When asking for receptions assistance, there seemed to be a lack of interest. Again, this was echoed when the people checking out in front of us said they had tried to contact them numerous times over the phone to which the response was we were busy.
Nice big room and good bathroom. Great facilities and very helpful staff.
Facing the AC machines.
Nice restaurant. Conveniently located. Reasonably priced with friendly, helpful staff.
Too hot! Bar area was cool but rooms were unpleasant especially the one on the second floor. Wall fan/a/c did not work.

Health spa staff over the top
Great pool and leisure facilities, friendly staff, nice and clean, good food
Our room was on the second floor and given the recent weather it was extremely hot and uncomfortable. No warning of this was communicated at check in. Only a tower fan was in the room which was just moving warm air around and the windows only opened a couple of inches so couldn’t get any air flow. The air con unit in the room didn’t work either and didn’t matter as the lowest it went was 19 degrees. To improve air flow we actually opened the room door and put a chair against it to keep it open, which shouldn’t really have had to do
