Location and view were great
Room was very basic (this was the deluxe room)
Great location.
No water in the room, just a note to say you could find a water fountain 1 floor down.
Comfortable rooms and very helpful and friendly staff.
No complaints

It’s nice and clean with a great location and beautiful view.
The room was insanely hot. I had the window open to try to cool it down because it was nice and cool outside by evening time. No such luck. Called the front desk twice to get a portable fan. They said they didn’t have any more. So I had to lay there and sweat. The noise from outside was significant. Loud people dragging luggage, laughing, shouting, loud cars, trucks and motorcycles, car alarm going off. It was probably the most miserable night in a hotel that I’ve had.
We loved that it was right downtown close to shopping and restaurants. We also loved that we had a castle view.
We had a few things that were not ideal that affected the overall rating of our stay. Our room was very hot and because the only window we had opened a small amount we had to leave the blackout blinds open to get airflow it was consequently sooooo loud when we were trying to sleep all night and hard to sleep with all the light from the open curtains. Also we had 4 people sleeping in our room and there was only 1 towel hook so we had to get creative with where to hang them for the time we were there. Our sinks also needed to be tightened so they wouldn’t turn off. And lastly our shower doors seal was old so water poured out of the shower the first time we used it.
The location is fantastic! It looks out to Edinburgh Castle and is a short walk to Victoria Street. Very centrally located to everything.
It was very warm in the hotel hallways and the room. We were sweating and were told there was nothing to be done. They did provide a fan that just blew around the hot air. Very uncomfortable. Also fridge in room barely worked and we were told that they didn’t work well. Also be careful climbing into the tub/shower it’s very tall.
The front desk service was very helpful and they were very friendly. The food was very tasty. Everyone made us feel welcome. Also loved the fluffy and extra large towels.
The room temperature was a little too warm
The location was great along with the view
The room was hot and stuffy. There is a fan in the wardrobe but no air conditioning. The shower pressure was also not great.
We loved the location in the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town! We were able to walk everywhere easily. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Wonderful hospitality by the gentleman who welcomed us upon check-in.

Location excellent. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious with lots of good options for one in our party with food allergies.
Parking cramped and expensive. Busy hotel with only two elevators so we used stairs. Marathon weekend made it a little busy.
