Trolley stop
No heat
I was freezing.
Proximity to public transit was great! There was always someone at the desk for questions and assistance.
I could have used a small desk and a chair to sit for meetings which I host online.
Location: Very close to many trolley bus and metro lines, so well connected and not too far from the center. Market St is a wide main street so feels quite safe.
It is quite basic in and old building but that’s why it’s inexpensive.
Price and location.
There is no chair or small desk in the room. There was no working hear.
They had an elevator, and a secure front door.
The ‘renovations’ were so poorly done they might as well have not done them. Shattered tiles, installed messily with grout everywhere. The radiator didn’t work, even with following the directions given. The fitted sheet had a major hole in the center of it, the pillowcases had holes in them, and the top duvet on the bed felt strangely gritty or dusty so we didn’t use it. My husband also had his black light. He turned it on for a second, gasped and then I told him to stop looking.. overall not the cleanest.
Convenient location. Easy to get public transportation. There’s no heat or air but they’ll give you a space heater to keep you warm. Some rooms have facilities across the hall. Some have a sink, toilet and shower within the room.
It’s a unique property and most folks visiting are not going to be accustomed
to it. I stayed here twice. This first time wasn’t awesome but I acclimated and came back.
Cute. Clean. Great staff.
Room very small, but it had character!
Bed was very comfortable. Location good for public transit (or walking).
Room was super basic: just bed, bedside tables, 1 wood chair. TV did not work.
No heat???? Was told it worked did not!
Hotel was central and easy to walk around San Francisco from it
Busy main road
Room was a little small, but had a nice bathtub. Had coffee and tea at the front desk. Stayed for hardly strictly. Great price, well located and safe. Will be staying again next time I visit San Francisco.
Love the simple easy stay. I don’t need frills or anything just a clean friendly place to lay my head. It was excellent. No ac but it was still comfortable.
Clean room
Good transportation around area. Staff are friendly and courteous.
An older hotel. Needs some updating.
Unfortunately, my room didn't have a bathroom in the same room. The toilet room and shower (separate rooms) were across the hall. That was not mentioned in my reservation. Not happy about that.
Clean rooms
Noisy, poor location, no extra circulars
I booked a deluxe room for two nights. When we arrived, the staff member seemed bored. Polite but not that friendly. When we got into the room, I was distinctly underwhelmed. It was very tired and not what I was expecting based on some of the pictures. One whole side of the wall electrics near the bed weren’t working so we had no small lights or plugs. Everything had to be charged at the other side. The detail was poor. Lots of chipped paint and it hasn’t been painted for some time.
The bathroom was nice enough, but the shower was poor, not strong at all. Also if you open the window even a crack at the bottom, people could easily see you sat on the toilet?! Odd design for a bathroom.
It was hot upon arrival and there was no fan. Very very loud on a Saturday night due to the location and not able to leave the window open
Whilst we got sleep and it was a base for us, it wasn’t luxury whatsoever and we would never stay again, sorry!!
