Close to airport and reasonable price
We were advised to book an u er or taxi to the airport as the shuttle is “not reliable”. As we were about to board our uber which cost £50, the shuttle arrived and it was fairly empty.
Very convenient location for Heathrow Terminal 2 & 3.
Check-in was a ‘self-serve kiosk’ that didn’t work. The poor staff member was harried and under a lot of pressure from the torrent of guests arriving to sort out their check-ins following failed attempts. Seemed silly.
As my room ‘was not ready’ upon submission of all my details, he allocated me one which appeared to be the furtherest away from the entry (4821). It also appeared as though this room is infrequently used given the dust on surfaces, stains in the bathroom and old towel buried under the sink.
Since it had taken me 15 mins to walk there and I had been travelling for 18 hrs, I was too tired to complain.
The restaurant and bar were extremely expensive but food and drink ok.
Great hotel, perfect location for our needs
Room adequate for our needs but could do with updating decor
During the heatwave in London, the Radisson was a perfectly air-conditioned haven. We checked into a family room with bunk beds for the kids — ideal for our 10-year-old daughter and 11-year-old son.
The pool and spa area was a highlight. The swimming pool is 1.05m deep, great for kids but more of a paddling pool for adults. The sauna was lovely (note: 16+ age limit). Entry is £5 per person.
For dinner we went to the hotel restaurant and were tempted by the buffet: £28 per adult, kids at 50%. Honestly, skip it and order from the menu instead. Not worth the price.
We spent 9 days in the UK staying in Airbnbs, and the Radisson was our last night before flying home. It was genuinely the best sleep of the entire trip: great bed, quiet room, perfect temperature. Highly recommend as a pre-flight stay.
Practical tip: there’s a bus stop just 200m from the hotel with buses to Heathrow Central Bus Station running every ~15 minutes, only £1.30–1.60 per person. From there it’s easy to connect to any terminal: much cheaper than a taxi and barely any extra effort.
One odd thing: we came to the pool wearing our beach flip-flops and both mine and my daughter’s slippers disappeared while we were in the pool. The staff were brilliant about it, the gym reception called hotel reception and they brought us hotel slippers straight away.
Mystery unsolved, but lesson learned: put your shoes in a locker!
Convenience to airport
- One of our rooms was not cleaned when we arrived -- dirty towels in the bathroom and both beds unmade. Very bad. To their credit, the staff responded quickly with a new room nearby.
- The restaurant food was mediocre and expensive.
- Staff told us more than once that there was a hotel shuttle to the airport. They did not tell us that it was not affiliated with the hotel, that it cost 7 pounds a person, and that it was very slow. We learned about the charge when we began to board the shuttle and realized it would be faster and cheaper to take an Uber or taxi with 4 people. Knowing this in advance would have saved us time on a busy morning.
It’s an airport hotel, so very convenient for those doing next morning/ noon flights after a long stay elsewhere in the UK. All Heathrow Terminals are 5-15 minutes away and there isn’t really a traffic likely street towards them. Clean and acceptable accommodation.
The hotel seems to be severely understaffed. It took me a 25-minute queue to check in, and some towels and dental kits I requested never arrived and phone wasn’t picked up the second time- until I called again the morning.
部屋のほとんどの電源が使えなかった。唯一、コーヒーメーカーのかか電源を抜いて充電できた。
シャワーのソープ、シャンプーがほとんど残量無しだった。
Always enjoyable stay here friendly intelligent helpful staff
Great selection at Breakfast
Good Gym
Good location near the airport. Took the local bus a few stops to get there.
They were severely understaffed. The front desk had 2 people and 30 min lines for check in at 11pm. The staff were great- kind, patient and helpful - especially considering the circumstances. They were doing their best. The first room we got the aircon was broken (during a heatwave) and had bugs flying around. We went back to the long check in line because no one answered the phone and they found us a new room with aircon and no bugs. Clean and comfortable. Slept well. The property is massive and you have to walk ages to get to your room.
