A booking confirmation turned out to be worth very little at this hotel.

We had a confirmed reservation, yet we were told that our room was no longer available due to a “technical issue.” The hotel placed the blame on Booking.com. However, approximately 90 minutes later, the exact same room category was still available to book on the hotel’s own website. That made their explanation very difficult to believe.

We tried to discuss the situation with the hotel. Instead of addressing our questions, they simply insisted that this was not the case. When we asked a follow-up question, they stopped responding altogether.

What made the experience even more disappointing was that it genuinely felt as though the situation had become personal. We cannot prove that, and we are not stating it as a fact, but that is certainly how the interaction came across to us based on the way we were treated and the complete lack of willingness to engage or find a solution.

Mistakes can happen. But a confirmed reservation should mean something. And if there really was a technical issue, we would expect transparency, accountability, and a genuine effort to resolve the problem. Unfortunately, we experienced none of that.

We have completely lost confidence in this hotel and will not be booking here again.

Pros:

Die Lage ist absolut top - man kommt mit Öffies schnell und problemlos quasi überall hin. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Cons:

Wenn man ein Zimmer nach vorne (zum Kudamm) raus hat, ist es natürlich ziemlich laut, d.h. schlafen bei offenem Fenster geht nicht.

Aus dem teuersten Hotelaufenthalt meines Lebens wurde ein Horror

Cons:

Das Zimmer (Dachgeschoss) hatte keine Klimaanlage und war bei der Hitze schlicht nicht belegbar. Ich bin nach wenigen Stunden wieder abgereist ohne Übernachtung, da auch keine Kompensation zur Verfügung gestellt wurde. Aus dem teuersten Hotelaufenthalt meines Lebens wurde ein Horror. Darüber hinaus musste ich bei der Schlüsselübergabe extrem lange warten, obwohl ich bereits online eingecheckt war.
