Hotel is full of character, good service, great breakfast, nice SPA
My wife & I booked this on a hunch and it turned out to be a really nice hotel. We stayed 10 nights and enjoyed every minute. The on-site restaurant was very good, as were the on-site spa facilities. A welcome bonus was the shuttle to the city center which operated pick & drop services multiple times a day!

Location is a little bit out of the centre so taxis for the weekend were a bit pricey

The breakfast was very good, with a wide variety of choices. The breakfast staff were extremely polite, warm, and welcoming, which made the mornings especially pleasant.
The staff from reception were also amazing, thoughtful and professional.
The room was spacious and had a strong vintage, historic character. If you appreciate Renaissance aesthetics or have an interest in the Medici era, you would absolutely love staying here.
The mattress was a bit too soft for our personal preference, so it wasn’t the most comfortable for us. My girlfriend and I tend to prefer firmer mattresses, as they are better for our backs. This is purely a matter of personal preference and not a reflection of the quality of the hotel.
