Our experience producing a photoshoot at Sea Ranch was absolutely seamless from start to finish. The entire team was incredibly accommodating, making the logistics effortless and allowing us to focus fully on the creative. Every direction we turned revealed another stunning backdrop...the grounds are truly beautiful throughout.

We felt completely at ease moving about the property as needed and were able to take full advantage of the many gorgeous nooks and crannies that make this place so special. It’s a rare location that feels both expansive and intimate at the same time.

I’m so grateful for the experience and hope to have the opportunity to return someday.

The Sea Ranch Lodge was such an incredible experience! My business partner and I had our annual summit there and used the Redwood Room to hold our 2-day meeting. We were met with calmness and focus that I think we could only get at a place like Sea Ranch. Our business is design-focused, so the heritage of Sea Ranch played a big part in our decision to have our summit there. The recent renovation was perfectly executed. The food and amenities match the quality of design.

What a wonderful place! Even in its original 1960s format the Lodge and its surroundings feel timeless and so up to date with sustainability and nature at its core. The rooms are comfortable and quiet and the outlook yards from the Pacific Ocean is breathtaking. We busted in a wet February day and immediately felt warm welcome and relaxed. The trails are beautiful and if it's too wet there are yoga mats in the rooms, comfortable seating areas in th main lodge and a well stocked bar area. The restaurant is sublime and the seasonal locally sourced food is to die for.

The 3 star review is based on expectations for a property with these rates. I expected more. I guess they get to charge these rates because they are the only game in town. The room was nice, ocean view was lovely. Beds and pillows were not very comfortable . They have single ply toilet paper, seems cheap.

Check in took 25 minutes even though there was not a line. They use an app for the room key which was really annoying. We had to download the app. The initial link they sent did not work so we had to go back to reception for them to redo. They failed to send the preregistration link to us, so we had to do it there. Registration is on line. What do you do if you don’t have a smart phone?

Booking the reservation was difficult because we had a gift card. We had to send a photo of the gift card to them. We could not book on line, so it involved multiple emails.

The whole process was too involved.

Stars at night are intense

Sea Ranch Lodge has a truly beautiful setting that feels like a real getaway. Check-in was easy and the complimentary glass of rosé was a nice, thoughtful touch. I also loved the freebies in the room, and the on-site store was well stocked with curated products. The restaurant was a standout—the food was excellent—though you should make a reservation early if you want to be sure you can eat there.

We had the most beautiful weekend at Sea Ranch Lodge. Not only were the views incredible and the atmosphere peaceful, but it also felt extra special because we were celebrating a wedding. The staff was warm, the food was delicious, and the whole place had this calm, coastal magic that made each day unforgettable. We can’t wait to come back and relive a little bit of that joy. 🌊🤍✨

The Sea Ranch Lodge is absolutely breathtaking. An ideal serene and peaceful place to be present and put the phone down. We celebrated our wedding at the lodge on November 01 and it was magical. Our guests' experiences reassured our decision making by calling this place our wedding venue. Every staff member is so kind, responsive and inviting. Aside from the dramatic views, the food was a highlight throughout the wedding.

Texting guest services, the on-site dining options and trails make everything so convenient and elevated. Be sure to stay a few nights here and experience the lodge from sunrise through sunset. You might see deer and sheep roaming safely at a distance. There are nearby attractions (Point Arena Lighthouse) and other dining locations that are hidden gems along the North Coast that simply make the trip to Sea Ranch so lovely.

Amazing location, stay, and hosts! Highly recommended. Unique in California, and perhaps in the world too. Must experience.

What we didn't expect, when booking a small destination wedding at this incredibly scenic and unique venue, was a true sense of value. The location alone is otherworldly, resting on towering cliffs with views that stretch north and south along the coastline for miles. The lodge itself is a marvel of flexible event space, which suited our 13-person guest list as well as it would 100+, with event staff manipulating the space to give us privacy and seclusion from the general public, while still providing us with room to move around and breathe. Speaking of, the event staff, bartender, and everyone else we trusted for our special evening came through more than we could've imagined. Friendly, flexible, attentive, and detail-oriented, which made us feel as if we were truly the guests of honor, a rare feeling for something you plan yourself. Small details like how the plates were set down during dinner, and an impromptu complimentary golf cart shuttle from the cliffs where we took pictures. Finally, the cabins and hotel rooms were off-the-charts amazing for the price. This was truly a luxury experience for everyone involved, something that we will remember fondly, with gratitude, for the rest of our lives.
