It worked for what I needed..
Pros:

Breakfast was good everyday. My room was at the end of the hallway,so was quiet. I could enter and leave thru the back door, which was very close to my room.

Cons:

I stayed 5 nights instead of 6. I was not refunded any money for the night I didn't stay. I was going to be charged a fee for parking a car,even though I told staff at check-in I didn't have a car. I didn't get an itemized receipt for what I was charged at check out.

Pros:

Maziar was more than accommodating, he let me know about the time changes for breakfast and the pool. He also engaged in a sports conversation after finding out my kids were here for a soccer tournament. Everything has been amazing.

Avoid!!
Pros:

Maziar gave us the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Denied us from checking in because my name was not on the initial reservation, even though it was made 10 minutes prior and confirmed that we would be the ones staying there. We prepaid and he insisted on double charging us to let us check in, and consistently ignored anything I was asking him. Received a room with a shower that didn’t even stay up. Downloaded TripAdvisor just to leave this comment. Would recommend not staying at this place so you don’t have to interact with Maziar.

Maziar did an excellent job on his customer service skills! He's very friendly and ensured that our check-in process is quickly as possible as we are very tired from a drive of 6-7 hours from Vegas! Great Job Maziar and thank you! 🙌

Nice Experience
Pros:

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in MiraMesa - San Diego from Sunday the 17th of May until today Sunday May 24th of May. All of the staff has been very helpful and nice. The breakfast is fresh every morning with plenty of different options. The man at the desk upfront Maziar helped me with all of my questions when I first arrived. My hotel room was very clean, and everything worked. I have no complaints.

Wonderful Hotel Personnel
Pros:

Amy at the Front Desk was wonderful!! She was kind, always with smile and willing to help and also advising about nice Restaurants around. The Hotel is very clean, rooms and all around. Great breakfast and coffee 24 hrs.
