Bed frame creaked loudly when you moved
I liked that the staff was friendly n nice. If u needed something u just had to go to the desk n they would help u with whatever needed.Liked that it was in a good location. I liked the Mexican restaurant next door.
Didn't like that there was no pool as it showed in the website. Wish there was a playground or something for kids to play on. Didn't like how the 2 lights in the room was messed up n wish they would of cleaned our room a little while we was there for 3 nights. But it's ok we tried to keep it clean ourselves.
Desk attendants were professional and courteous. I did not need to use the breakfast feature so I can't comment on that. Linens, carpet, sink, and desk were clean. Bed was reasonably comfortable.
Drywall repair was needed by the tub near the floor, and drywall debris was on the floor. There was dust on the cupboard where the towels were stored, in the corners. Room needed a deep cleaning. Cleaning attendants get in and out a little too fast. It was not so bad that one felt uncomfortable at every turn, however.
Staff was very pleasant, welcoming, and helpful. The location was great-a short walk to downtown Black Mountain. Great to be able to have our dog with us.
It is an older motel, and is showing its age although it is maintained well and has good landscaping around the former pool, which is now a seating area.
