Clean, quiet, comfortable, and great service. Especially enjoyed the pool and the 3 hot tubs. The outdoor patio overlooking the mountains was great. Limited breakfast with pretty good coffee as well.

Cons:

Walk-in shower is very small, even for an average-sized person. One side of the bed is only about one foot from the wall, it needs to be moved out further and coud use a nightstand on BOTH sides, not just one.

Pros:

A short drive from downtown Salida.

Cons:

I wasn't expecting much from a lodge but I needed two things: cleanliness and functionality. Both were not present. The room was in between the laundry and the office which makes me believe this was a supply closet. The room was not clean with visible pet/human hair on base boards. Even a candy wrapper was in the corner of the room, clearly showing evidence it wasn't cleaned. The towels were stained, and even the replacement still had stains.

The shower was a tiny space, maybe a foot and a quarter wide on each side that the water coming out of the shower head was directly hitting the wall behind you. It was impossible to shower since the shower head was not adjustable. I had to put my hand up to the shower head for water to trickle down to the rest of my body. It was ridiculous.

I was visiting Salida for the first time, driving back to Denver from Crested Butte and this was not how I wanted to end my trip. I'm glad I only stayed one night but that was enough for me to feel insulted for sticking me in a dirty room. I got the hell out of there well before check out time.
