It was stunning . Great attention to detail and lovely staff
Nothing to dislike
Beautiful place to stay, not far from the centre of Edinburgh. Staff were so welcoming.
From stepping out of the taxi we were wrapped in a warm blanket of ambience and luxury. No stuffiness, just friendly staff who helped you to have the best time.
Nothing not to like.
Most of the staff were excellent and very attentive. Breakfast was high quality. At first glance, the hotel seemed opulent. Water pressure in the shower was outstanding.
After a little while in the hotel, it felt more cluttered than luxurious. There were no open spaces just to gather as a group informally and it all felt very curated as to where we could socialise. Bathrooms felt very old fashioned and did not feel relaxing or stylish. Very dark rooms. Very expensive and in my opinion was not value for money.
Beautiful setting, lovely hotel and great breakfast.
Close enough to the start of the walk to Arthur’s seat.
Early check in was troublesome, despite asking 3 times, it was never confirmed so on arrival there was a long wait (not ideal after a 4am start). I could have made other plans had there been communication.
Not that near to anything else so if staying for a while perhaps stay elsewhere.
The staff was insanely customer friendly, the food was amazing and it looks like a fairytale.
The neighborhood you walk through from the property to the city center.
From start to finish the hotel provided phenomenal customer service. Arjun in particular was so helpful in catering to our every need. We felt so taken care of and couldnt recommend a stay more.
Excellent place, grounds are great and well looked after, decor is wonderful. Staff all lovely, dinner and breakfast were also really good!
Nice touch with the complimentary champagne, truffles and cookies which were delicious!
Unclear whether the mini fridge and snacks in the cupboard are included or charged to the room. Maybes a price list would help?
Would highly recommend!
Prachtige Locatie zeer sfeervolle kamers , fantastisch eten
Prijs erg hoog
Just an amazing place to stay in general. Rooms are great, staff are fantastic, the decoration just whisks you back in time.
The spooky portrait with lights that turn themselves back on 😆
Disappointing
If you suffer from asthma or allergic to toxic smells- dont go. They started using the very strong diffuser reeds with horrible smell , which is just making everyone sick . I would suggest to stay away until they realize the scottish fresh air is best and this is what people are coming for to scotland , not for cheap dubai style diffusers
