Relativement décevant

La décoration incroyable, l’espace et l’environnement

L’accueil n’a pas été à la hauteur de la réputation ni des 5 *.
Pas d’assistance à l’arrivée pour porter les bagages, une théière pour deux le 2e jour du séjour séjour, après avoir attendu 20 min nous avons quitté le petit déjeuner, la deuxième théière n’est jamais arrivée. La dégustation de whisky dans un salon incroyable a été également décevante.
Donc courtoisie mais pas aux petits soins comme nous pourrions l’imaginer dans ce bel endroit aux tarifs assez hauts. Aucune cheminée allumée y compris dans le salon whisky ou cela s’y prête ni musique …
Au court de notre séjour en Ecosse nous avons eu des accueils bien plus attentionnés dans des lieux à l’affichage moins prestigieux dont un feu de cheminée allumé rien que pour nous.

From the moment we arrived, we were completely captivated. Every corner of this property feels like stepping into another world. The magnificent historic interiors, rich colours, beautiful antiques, luxurious furnishings, and breathtaking attention to detail create an atmosphere unlike anything we have ever seen.

What makes Prestonfield House truly exceptional is that it offers so much more than luxury. It has character, history, warmth, and a sense of magic that is incredibly rare to find. The beautiful grounds and peaceful surroundings make it feel like a secluded countryside estate, despite being so close to the heart of Edinburgh.

The rooms are stunning, the atmosphere is wonderfully romantic, and the entire property feels like a work of art. Every detail has been so thoughtfully considered.

The hospitality deserves particular recognition. The staff make you feel genuinely welcomed and valued, and the level of care and attention reflects everything a five-star hotel should represent.

We have genuinely never been so impressed by a hotel before. Prestonfield House is not simply a place to stay; it is an experience in itself, and one that will remain in our memories for a very long time.

If we could give more than five stars, we absolutely would. An absolute masterpiece of a hotel, and somewhere we would return to in a heartbeat.

Einen Tee im Garten zu trinken, British Afternoon tea war sehr lecker. Frühstück war auch sehr lecker. Wunderschönes Zimmer, liess keine Wünsche übrig.

Séjour exceptionnel hors du temps

Le cadre exceptionnel avec beaucoup de charme, de calme, l’intérieur incroyable très cosy et confortable et le personnel très agréable.
